Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

Oh wow, same here. Got moved to 4-5 weeks this morning. Looks like most of us are west coast.

My SA says she sees the same thing on their end FWIW.

Ordered 5/16.... its been stuck at "October" for months, yesterday went to December-Jan, and this morning October again.

White/Black MYLR.

Getting kinda irked to the point of just buying the performance (I wanted it anyways, but was worried it would depreciate the most) :/

Several weeks ago I was part of a wave of people who’s EDD went from a specific date range to 7-9 weeks for a few days before reverting back. I think a lot of us got our VIN not too long after that. So hopefully it’s the same thing for you guys who just got switched to 4-5 weeks.

Nope...her last reply was "all we can do is wait." As I've read throughout this forum, they don't get any better information than we do. I'm sure they're (nearly) as frustrated as we are.

FWIW I changed my LR to MYP on wed and I also see 4-5 weeks but I figured that was because I essentially just got to the back of the line and that’s the timeframe listed on the order page.

it feels like the 4-5 week window is used when they’re reshuffling things or doing an inventory allocation run and just put that in as a placeholder.

On another note. Does anyone have any hard evidence that Tesla focuses on deliveries to specific regions during specific times other than people saying they’re taking delivery or seeing vins and happen to be in a similar region? I just find it really hard to believe that this would happen. It would make it extremely difficult for the individual delivery centers to take deliveries only during certain time windows. Here in Portland my buddy works down the street says he sees trucks coming in every day.

The only thing I've heard is that Tesla seems to focus on west coast deliveries (California specifically) at the end of the quarter (Mar, June, Sept, Dec) to boost their quarterly earnings report. This allows them to cycle their delivery trucks in and out quicker. That said, all this seems to be based on circumstantial evidence collected from forum member experiences.

My EDD has been 4-5 weeks for the past few days, but stopped in to talk to an SA and they said it’s scheduled to be built this week. We’ll see if it turns up soon

I’ve been thinking about this Issue more. Perhaps the 4-5 weeks that’s now being displayed is simply from the Order Date, not from today’s date.

Holy cow!! Just received notification to make the cash payment and delivery is now Aug 28-31. VIN assigned too. Is payoff before delivery normal? I was expecting to pay post-delivery after inspecting the vehicle.
