Spectra Photosync tint is quite spendy indeed, but It's the best tint out there blocking the highest number of uv for the more sensitive bald head dudes/dudettes. Like me. And only the best tinters even can get it in house, which adds to the total price. Most all the time I don't even need the shade anymore with the Spectra Photosync lightest shade.
The 70% on the windshield on mine is good. Cuts down the heat significantly while not impairing night visibility. It also cuts down on the work the a/c (and thus the power consumption) has to do especially in the summer - no more sounds like an airplane taking off. UV should already be included in the window though.Most folks tinting are not following the laws. 70% on the windshield won’t be noticeable especially if you do the sides at 25-30%. Should still get all the heat reduction benefits and UV blocking etc
Some hope! I ordered this exact configuration in late Jan of 21. I had a April 19-May 12 window, which flipped to July with everyone else’s and has stayed there so far.
Dumb question: does the shade come with it? The last X I had was 2018 (early build) and I did not have a shade.

Oof. That may be a little too much. You have the frunk space which doesn’t fit a large bag and in the trunk cubby, you can’t fit a large one either. So my guess is 2 large max? Possibly only 1 depending how “large” is defined.
I did 70% on front windshield and it made a heck of a difference. You’re correct that it goes unnoticed and it’s oh so worth it. Just not cheap. I got Spectra Photosync 70% and I think for front windshield alone it was $1200. I did all windows except the little ones above the FWDs.Most folks tinting are not following the laws

My mid-2018 came with shade, but the replacement 2022 did not. I never used mine so I can understand why they quit shipping them.

Disagreed. The visors on my 2014 Model S were thin like the Model X, without the second section to unfold. My mother's 2019 Model 3 is similar to the 2014 Model S. Unless Tesla changed the visors in the Model S.
4/14/2021 order. No movement. Still have July EDD.
Nope - the airbag issue is still not resolved. Apparently nothing being delivered, which is why this forum has gone into topics like snacks at super chargers and tinting on different windows in different parts of North America.
April ‘21 order EDD stays at July. i prefer to chill vs fret. Build will only improve imo. Had to get a temp vehicle while waiting after turning in our 2019 M3P. Not thrilled but
