Just to keep this going, I posted that after v11 of the firmware update my vibration diminished, this was true for a good 10,000km but is back in full force again. SC has blamed my tires (shifted belts on PS4s that I have never once launched with), unbalanced wheels (I've done numerous 3rd party and TSC road force balancings with summer and winter wheel sets with current and brand new tires). No change. Still vibrates at a frequency consistent with speed, more pronounced at acceleration, and from 60km/hr and up in all weather. I am booking a new SC appointment where I am really going to stick to this issue and cite this thread, and I will persist even if it involves bringing on legal counsel. I am sick of this issue.
Actually, I think it's likely you have something else wrong, since those of us with this vibration only have it between 40-50 mph. So, there's something else wrong with your car that should be fixable!

Some update: I dropped my car off to have the new design / tolerance half shafts installed. Let's hope it works! 🤞

Interesting: My loaner car is a '23 Model S LR with 3k miles. It has absolutely no vibration. I tried everything to get it to vibrate but couldn't find any. I drove in medium, even high (from below 35 mph) and there is no vibration at all.
Built 12/22. Running 2023.2.12 software. 19" wheels.

Of course, it still has other issues, like the seat belt was installed backwards at the factory.... But you can't have everything. 😅

Contrary to the experience of people in this thread, non vibrating plaids have and continue to exist.

My guy is an automotive regulatory specialist. Establishing the problem will be the first bit. Establishing the costs is another. A broader implication of some kind of negligence or malfeasance is beyond any kind of remedy I am looking for. I just want the car to stop shaking and for them to admit the issue. Per:
Technnically I would like to get the new half shafts on per Tesla spec, then retro in a set of control arms from a thrid party and lower 20mm, set camber and toe per ntitive (still within tesla spec), and see if the issue is resolved.
Thank You! Confirmation the vibration stems from too high an angle of the CV joints in the half shafts. The ultimate fix is either a higher quality part or a re-design of the front drive train that includes lowering the motor and reducing the CV joint angles. In the mean time lowering the car using Don's parts (n2itive.me) sounds like it works.

Could it just be flat spotted tires? It being such a heavy car. I thought I saw one person say it only happened in the first drive of the day. I have that from time to time with my Audi with summer tyres. They are like rocks until they warm up, goes away after I hit the freeway. For me tires starts at around 50-55F on a cold day and are at 100F+ after a few mins on the freeway. It’s not a hard vibration but very noticeable. Haven’t noticed it with MSP yet, but it has hardly stood still since I got it at the weekend.

The vibration remains on hot days, and no matter how long you drive the car. It's always there between 40-50 mph, and it goes away immediately if you go into track mode and select rear torque bias.

Keep us posted, what part number you have on the service ticket?

I am pessimistic and would say most S refresh vibrate and if you find one that doesn't then It is a happy accident as this is a design issue. mine is very subtle and hard to notice unless you pay attention and know what to look for.

We had 3 Plaids (2 22s and one 23) parked in our club house last weekend for Spring event done by our community for the kids. I was chatting with there owners and discussing what we like and we do not about them, when I mentioned the vibration, they said they do not have it so we went for a drive in both cars and I showed them how to get it (lite foot on the acceleration, slight uphill and viola). needless to say they both hate me now :)

I bet if someone say they do not have it then 99% they are either heavy footed on the acceleration and they blew through the zone quickly or never cared about slight imperfection. My wife had her MYP for a week with the rear mirror rattling and she never cared till I drove it and was WTF!!!

Maybe the issue only affects plaid and not long range? I have driven two Long Range S now, one '22 and one '23, and both don't have it. My '21 Plaid does.

Or, like me, they have a June 2021 Plaid that happens to be totally vibration-less no matter how hard they try. I’m definitely not heavy footed and am very sensitive to sound and vibration. Of course I’m still at only 5000 miles so I’m holding my breath. Did I just jinks myself!

I made it to about 10k before the vibration showed up. It was much higher frequency that what i anticipated.
Im at 20k now. It drives me nuts, but I just printed some lowering links in the hopes that not only the car will look better it will alleviate the vibration.
FYI for a period of time the vibration DID go away on its own, but it has since come back.

I have a 2021 Plaid and noticed the slower speed vibration from day one, seems to be getting much worse, I notice it all the way up to about 65 mph now. It's enough that if I let go of the yoke, I can see it shaking. Less than 6,000 miles on the car.

Having Tesla check it out next week...
