Dude, this Costco example you gave is not even close to being relevant... The OP didn't "return" the car, as the car has not even been handed over yet. The OP merely requested information from the SA about the product, and then decide to not take it, in which the SA, representing Tesla, was all fine about it and put the OP's order on hold.
If you checked the order agreement, there is no clear mentioning of how could an order be put on hold, and there is no such thing as "legitimate issues" like you claimed. Also, "legitimacy" is subjective. In the scenario here, there are the OP and some other people that think it's a legitimate reason to put the order on hold, and Tesla agrees with it and put it on hold. IMO, in this case, respect this being a "legitimate" reason and stop being so mean, lol.
