SR Model 3 owners getting more than they ever could have hoped for

Well, the real question here is can I use my phone's WAZE app to display driving directions on the screen? There's no Apple Carplay support so I don't know how this would work?

it won't.

There's a teslawaze website, but (apart from using a noticeable amount of battery to run constantly) won't work since the cheaper trims lack a web browser.

I am disappointed that Tesla decide to cripple the Mac and infotainment on the lower end Model 3. These are standard features on everyone’s phone. I see this as a evil move to force an up sell. If they just need to cut cost, then make it a paid subscription, allow it to use the data plan on your phone, or just damn offer google/apple car play,

While I agree that the SR+ is a good deal, I think the real bargain is the LR RWD, with 325 miles EPA range, for $43k.

I agree. The price on the MR I configured for Thanksgiving delivery is slightly higher than today's LR RWD after factoring in new option prices and tax credit. A little bummed but what are you gonna do. I love this car and hope to keep it a long time. Those extra 60 miles would come in handy a couple times a year but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Welcome to all you soon to be owners!!

(1)Tesla has always taken your money for stuff that doesn't exist. (2) 1k for m3 3 years ago, (3) scamming people for vaporware FSD, (4) deposits for MS and MX that take months to build, (5) 50k roadster deposits...
(1) To be fair, in some cases that was for reservations which are intentionally such.
(2) Case in point for (1).
(3) I wouldn't put it this way, but you have a fair point here.
(4) Same as (2).
(5) Same as (2).

I'm curious. I just got my car yesterday. AP is now standard. From what I read prior to delivery I didn't think I would get NOA or Summon but the delivery specialist showed me it's there . Was this a recent change?

I had the same. Was told I’m part of a 60 day trial but don’t see trial listed anywhere or an end date.

Even asked the sales rep what my trial end date is but got no response. I imagine they may be waiting to May 1 or May 10 to explain this.

Would be nice to have some transparency in this trial.

Hmmm...just looked it up.

Full Self-Driving Capability Trial

14 days. I asked the delivery person and she just said I must have it. Based on this link you have to opt in to it. So someone at the dealer did this. Would be nice if employees knew this.

Says option to upgrade at reduced price. I don't see reduced price. Just 7k.

AP is not standard on the SR. The SR is $35K without AP, or $38K with AP.

The SR+ includes AP in the base price of $39,500.

You are most likely on a 60 day trial. However, you are supposed to be prompted to accept the trial on your screen before it activates. It’s possible that someone already accepted the terms and activated it for you but that really should not have happened because you were supposed to read and accept the terms before they activate it.

Actually it's 14 days per the link and confirmed with dealer.

Delivery person set up some stuff before I took the car. She drove the car to deliver it to. It may have required her to confirm the trial and she didn't read it.

I hate trials. I will avoid using.
