Static Sound over Streaming

I am occasionally hearing a static crackling sound when playing streaming music. I heard the sound when I first picked up my model 3. Myself and the delivery specialist tried to duplicate the sound but couldn't. I thought it might be the immersive sound option so I turned that sound off. I have found that the sound is while listening to some streaming music songs and it will go away when the sound is muted then unmuted. I submitted a bug report.

Is there anyone else that has experienced this issue?

Me too

This has been an issue ever since I took delivery 3 months ago, affecting every single software update my Model 3 has received. Maybe it will be fixed eventually. I’m positive Tesla is aware of the issue since many others here have experienced this issue as well. For now pausing and resuming will fix the static issue.

I get this issue with either iphone 8 bluetooth stored audio or the car’s LTE streaming. Approximately every 25 seconds the sound has a subtle static interruption. Higher frequencies of the music drop out briefly for < 1 sec. It is a constant cycle while using the car’s audio. Pausing or resetting is no remedy. Signal / connection quality makes no difference either. With some tracks I can hear the sound stage slightly alter during the interrruption. Again, this is subtle and I can imagine some people aren’t paying attention to it or dismiss it as a signal interruption. I totally hear it and know it’s a system problem. Any explanation from someone is appreciated.

I have similar issue. It only happens when I am listening to music or podcast on my iPhone via bluetooth. It plays fine and then static sound, and then no sound. But after 10 - 15 seconds, I can click play again and the music is back, but I can tell that my phone has not stopped playing, just not on the car. I tried to reboot the car, worked for one day and now back again. Very annoying. Any suggestion?

The weird thing is that it never happened in my 2016 P90D - but I've experienced this in my 2018 Model 3 and also a 2018 S75 loaner I got. Same(ish) software versions. Perhaps there's something new in the 2018s?
