SUPER EXCITED - Just Finished Configuring my Model 3

WOW ... Got my email invite yesterday at 2:45... configured within 30 min ... got a call from Tesla within 20 min saying that they will try to deliver ASAP. Hoping to get it by end of the year but no guarantee!!

Non-Owner - Southern CA - Placed my order @ 8:00 PM on 3/31.

I still remember it, we were having dinner at an Italian restaurant in LA and ended up placing the reservation on my iPhone ... Super Excited.

Advice to anyone getting the configuration invite, jump on it right away and finish all your paperwork. They are anxious to get as many of these babies out before the end of the year.

As a non-owner in LA who ordered online on the 31st (before reveal), this makes me very excited. Can I ask you what your dates had shown on the delivery estimator?

They called and asked if I am travelling from now to the end of the year. No commitment that they would deliver it right away but I think they are just checking to make sure they have enough people lined up to deliver as many cars as possible.

Yup, I will probably cancel it. I have not heard anything regarding delivery yet. It is for a 2017 model S AP2.

I think they still give owner priority even if the vehicle hasn't been delivered. I had a similar experience when I ordered my CPO S back in August.

OTOH if you can get a 2018 model instead of a 2017 the resale value will be a little better.

Perhaps there aren't as many current owners in LA as there are in the Bay Area. so they can start moving on to the non-owners. Just a thought.
