Since I had called Jeff, the Interurban manager, during construction, I asked my server to have Jeff stop by my table during my visit to Interurban. I thanked him for having Loren take construction pictures for the forum. I mentioned the painted pavement at Culver City and he liked that idea. I suggested a cement walk between The Floor Trader parking and Interurban as the employees are using that lot and guests would have an easier walk to the restaurant without having to walk on the grass. Jeff also liked that idea. He is also considering cones. We tossed suggestions back and forth during our very friendly conversation.

On the positive side: while only one parking spot was left in the entire lot, it WAS a Tesla parking spot. Jeff also mentioned that the guests love to see the Tesla vehicles during their visit. My favorite suggestion was to have a sign at the Tesla parking that suggests extra parking space at The Floor Trader. If you give a customer a parking option, it provides the maximum opportunity for a quality result. If a cement walk path is placed correctly, then the walk from The Floor Trader parking to the Interurban entrance would be shorter than the walk from the Tesla spots.

I charged at Ardmore on Wednesday last week around 1:00pm and Sunday at 8:00am, and there was no ICEing issue either time. Wish I'd heard about the Okie Pig Sandwich before I ordered the catfish plate, though.

There's an archway of colorful flags over the south entrance to the parking lot, right in front of the Superchargers. Anybody know what they're for?

Did you try the Okie Pig Sandwich?
I enjoyed "Linda's Spinach Salad" and a cranberry juice. The salad was one of the most delicious spinach salads in recent memory. The menu at the Interurban is huge and a great reason to stop by, especially if visiting the nearby WinStar Casino, currently the 4th largest casino in the world.

I saw the flags too. While low vehicles can drive under them, it seemed like they were there to keep taller vehicles from entering. The main entrance is nearer the Interurban without the flags. Hopefully someone can ask next time they stop in for great food and service.

I stopped by there yesterday and there were no flags. The vertical supports were still there, but no flags.

Two of the spots were ICE'd, even though there were plenty of spaces available nearby.

I stopped here to get a boost on Sunday heading to Denton as the headwinds were really blowing at around 11 in the morning. There was a Colorado plate S already charging. I only stopped for 10 minutes and left to do a top up for myself at Starbucks. I drove back by to get onto the freeway and the S had gone and a heavy duty pickup towing a 25ft horse trailer had completely blocked all the charging spots. The opposite spaces were empty so I can only conclude that it had done it deliberately.

Welcome to Oil Country! :p

That's a tight turn, so maybe not. In any event, the Interurban restaurant management will be happy to find the driver and ask him to move.

Tesla Motors could create a print advertisement that we could place on the windshield of the ICE vehicles that park at the Superchargers.

With a color graphics explaining the Supercharger, it could be posted as a PDF that we could print as needed.

Simple, fun, informative and absolutely non-confrontational. Design it with lasting quality, so they won't toss it.

But why wait. Here is a sample illustrating what you can create by grabbing existing graphics from the Tesla web pages.

If the referral program continues, add your link and other contact information as needed. Turn lemons into lemonade!

Its pretty important that if possible/convenient we check-in and/or patronize the 'back-up' chargers near the Tesla Superchargers. About 3/4 mile South of the SuperCharger is the 'back-up' (which has been broken down for some weeks in 2016). I called and spoke with the front desk, (580) 223-3200, who assured me that the two HPWC chargers are functioning. The lady could not comment on whether anybody had used the chargers in the last 30 days, but she got confirmation from somebody in the background, that they were 100% now. The chargers are located at the periphery of the North side of the parking lot -- and are the least likely position to get ICEd. Good-luck to all who charge. My back of the envelope estimates that the 10+ SuperChargers in Texas have a fail rate of 0.1 - 1.0%, often because of the flooding as happens with tropical storms. Lord knows what the recent Oklahoma earthquakes might do to Ardmore infrastructure.

Nitpicking here, but how in the hell did Oklahoma end up on this sub-forum. I realize it's in a middle area, but it would have made more sense to put it with Texas, the midwest, or even the southeast. I certainly don't think of the Rockies or the Southwest when I think of Oklahoma.

Since you asked...
Texas and Oklahoma were both part of the original Mountain/Southwest sub-forum.
And one day, Texas became its own sub-forum, sort of like Florida when they were split off from the Southeast Sub-forum.

One day, when superchargers start sprouting in Alaska, they will probably have their own Sub-forum too.
Might be a couple of years before that happens though.

Thanks for the clarification. I would still recommend that a mod move the Oklahoma threads to one of the other forums (probably Midwest even though that is kind of goofy as well).

Alaska and the Alaska Highway will need Superchargers in basically every town lol.

This is my least favorite Supercharger. I just don't trust it won't be ICEd (though personally I've never seen that here), so I filled up and went direct from Denton to OK City (same on return trip).

I didn't have an ICE problem at Salina but can see how that can happen; those spaces are some of the closest to the hotel entrance. Pretty rough if they ICE overnight, there's no way you can locate the owner to move them.
