About how long does it take to complete install of a new station? Is this new Fairfax Supercharger expected to be online soon?

Anywhere from several weeks to many months. It depends on a lot of things. How long does it take the power company to deliver/install a transformer is a major one. Electrical inspections and corrections are another. The actual build of the site can vary from a couple of weeks to a month plus, but then you wait for the transformer and inspections. Last is the turn up and calibration by Tesla.

Anywhere from two weeks to two years. The upcoming "Fairfax, VA" pin on Tesla's Find Us map lists a targeted opening date of Q3 2022.

Lots of activity at Fairfax Corner (11900 Palace Way). Pedestal foundations are being put into place (left side of picture). Equipment pad has been poured and conduits are in place.

The Fairfax Circle Wawa at 9898 Fairfax Blvd is under construction. Underground fuel tanks have been installed, the gas pump canopy is going up and the building foundation has been poured with utilities roughed in. No sign of EV charger construction.

Any info on where the new Reston Supercharger may be located? Tesla map shows a similar target date (Q3 2022) for both the new Fairfax and Reston locations.

More progress. The transformer hasn’t been upgraded yet but the rest of the project looks like it’s getting close to wrapping up.

I was actually planning to post this tomorrow, but the Fairfax Supercharger (at least the one I found) will be at Fairfax Corner. There will be 12 stalls somewhere around the movie theater, if anyone wants to check out the area.

That’s interesting to see a swap out, that will simplify the utilities job. I wonder how the loads will be shared with the building?

Passed by site today. The guys are cleaning up getting ready to move out. Patching asphalt

Looks like it’s up to Dominion Power to swap out the Transformer to finish the job. Otherwise everything else is done
