Supercharger - Hamburg, PA

Not for awhile. Maybe I'll run up tomorrow to check it out and get a Gobbler for lunch while I'm there.

So happy we are finally getting a supercharger in schuylkill county

while technically berks, you aren't kidding. when we drove our model 3 home from so cal for a few weeks last year, it was a struggle keeping it charged. we stayed with family who allowed me to plug in via 120 to trickle charge every night, but any time we had to go anywhere more than a few miles at a time i would have to drive to harrisburg to supercharge for a few minutes, or to dinner at troegs and charge level 2 at the outlets while we were there (this was less of an annoyance because the beer and food are so good, of course). the entirety of schuylkill county is a complete EV dead zone as far as any kind of fast charging goes (even lvl 2 is difficult to find).

will be nice to have a supercharger nearby where i can go and fill up for a few days if need be.

I hope to see a supercharger site in Schuylkill. Hopefully Frackville right off 81 to close the Harrisburg-Scranton gap.

pine grove wouldn't be a bad option either...mcdonald's or arby's, perhaps.

I live 20 minutes north of Hamburg. IT would be nice to something there and even along RT-183 between Reading and Pottsville

Heading out to Scranton this weekend. Probably will do a flash-and-go in Allentown so that I do need to go out of my way to the Harrisburg Supercharger. Would be nice to have Hamburg but feel great that it has come along this far.

I grew up in Pottsville. my guess is that there's not nearly enough demand to do anything on 183...

Yes, you are correct, now. 13 months ago, you were incorrect. It opened this past may and was announced sometime around March 2021.

Any updates from those in the area? I was hopeful that it may be operational by my Thanksgiving day trip. Not confident at this stage though.

I was there yesterday. Looks the same as the previous pictures. There is an empty pad you can see in the previous photo - My guess is that is for the transformer, and the small transformer that is there is for the WaWa. I don't think there is any way that little transformer is powering an 8-stall V3.

Taken Nov/2021. I spoke to WAWA manager. Supercharger are completed BUT they are waiting for one part to go fully operational.
