ain't going to be ready by Sunday lol, Pasadena needs to approve and sign off.Looks like things are about wrapped up except for the parking lot striping. I saw the guys working over where the L2 chargers are supposed to be going in, so I went over to that corner to see what was going on. It turns out that they were just filling in some pavement that had been removed, so no movement on the L2 chargers. Would be great if the site was ready on Sunday morning when I head off to Vegas. If they light it up while I'm gone then someone else is going to get their picture in the paper

We all know that can take weeks sometimes. The Santa Barbara location has been finished for around 3 weeks now but still not powered up.ain't going to be ready by Sunday lol, Pasadena needs to approve and sign off.
In the previous Pasadena charging plaza project that the city and Tesla collaborated on, they got final inspection approvals and the site was charging cars that same day. But they also had the utility transformer installed really early in the project, like a month before all the other work was done. It was a below ground unit installed in an underground vault, so I'm not sure that the prior timely performance on that one will translate as this project may be working to different timelines and have different scheduling needs. One benefit here is that Pasadena is a municipal utility. Tesla will not have to wait on a major utility like PG&E or SCE to place the transformer. The city is involved with the project, so they can streamline the process. I'm not saying they will, but they could.
