I popped in on my way down the line this morning. Concrete plinths are poured, it's a 6 bay site, and yes, 50m or so from Big Azz ice creams, just under the giant apple.
Although for the legacy Model S and X the charge port is Type 2 or Mennekes, and up until the release of Model 3 all Superchargers in NZ used this plug and a second CCS2 plug was fitted to existing Superchargers. The newer Superchargers are now installed with CCS2 plugs only and Model S and X owners need to purchase an adapter which includes some changes to internal wiring of the car.
A similar situation exists in Europe.
That's Rav4 Hybrid economy. Not a bad comparison for load carrying ability. Still some savings for you on servicing even if you chew more tyres up enjoying the torque.
The cost of public charging never really figured in my breakdown. I knew it cost a fair bit more hence why I went for the LR.
