Just charged at the Willcox Supercharger. Yea. Now we need Fort Stockton to get on line. The two hours spent at Balmorhea city hall rv Park yesterday was the first time in 2 1/2 years and 44,000 miles of Tesla ownership we have had to visit an RV Park. I10 makes the Florida to California trip a better option this time of year.
The gal at the front desk said that people always park there. I suggested cones and she said they put cones out for the Swans Truck so he can plug his truck in. overnight in the back of the building but people move the cones.

View attachment 267068 At Wilcox. Holiday inn express is lit up for Xmas. Got great rate of charge 117 kw. Anyone notice the huge number of rabbits on the premises?

I'll wager it's an employee parking there. Maybe even the "gal" at the desk.
I actually can see some benefits to employees parking in the SC stalls -- kind of like big, immovable cones, and they know who the car belongs to. Almost like reserving the spot for you. A hassle to get them to move, but not as much of a hassle as trying to get them to find whatever customer parked there (which they are unlikely to do).
Just stopped through Willcox on our way back from a 2200 mile trip to Texas. It made the trip from Deming to Tucson very easy. We got 117KW at the beginning of our charge- That's pretty much what we saw at each supercharger we stopped at - We usually arrived at each charger with between 40-60 miles remaining range. Buffer calculations were made using EVtripplaner.com We found it very accurate with predictions Otherwise the trip was pretty uneventful. Saw other Teslas at only a couple of the chargers we used. (other than North Houston, where we got the last spot on Friday afternoon)
Edit- Forgot to mention- Willcox showed up in the Nav system today 12-20 even though it's been up and running a few days.
A little more company on my return trip! There was an X here on arrival but it left as I arrived, then within minutes another S showed up. I haven't seen this many Tesla's outside of Scottsdale ever! Guess there's some truth in the saying that if you build it they will come.
As posted previously, it’s worth heading down the road to Apple Annie’s. They only have lunch on weekdays, but I was able to pick up a couple of pies and keep them nice and cool in the frunk during this trip.
