More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Happy New Year all! Congrats to our 2023 top 10!! First year anyone got over 1000 (most in a year before that was 787 in 2022).

I had some thoughts on that, but I was not above driving around Australia for two weeks picking up chargers. And it pushes me towards using SC gathering as an excuse to see more of the world.

I had the opportunity to visit Singapore and Japan before Christmas. It was a family trip--my son did a semester abroad in Singapore--so I did not plan to rent a Tesla in either country. (When I looked, Singapore just required an international drivers license, but Japan has more strict requirements.)

I was a little disappointed that I couldn't add other countries to my tally. Maybe I'll finally get up to Canada this summer.

Thanks for posting. I went to grab a leaderboard screen shot on New Years Eve around 10:30 Mountain time and all the numbers had been expunged because of the east coast year change, so I didn’t see my final total. What’s more impressive that you didn’t post is your quarterly number. Crazy year that won’t be replicated for me😂

Add: You actually got me a little nervous a couple weeks ago because you sniped my annual total at the last minute not too long ago. If anybody could do it, it was you. A man after my own heart with your repeated marathon drives and unprecedented daily totals. 😊

I think a week in Europe would have done the trick this year. But I draw the line at New York City valet superchargers - a European trip is a bridge too far.

Add: I hunt on about $15/day marginal cost (charging, food, tolls, and tires). Not repairs or depreciation.

Why not now? It was lovely when I was there a few weeks ago, looks like the temps are much warmer than normal

I saw a cool heat map that showed average temps this year close to the US/Can border being MUCH warmer than average, but googling 'US Heatmap' brings up a LOT of things unrelated to Temperature...

How many Superchargers does your son have? Wondering how this stacks up against @PhillyGal / PhillyKid? :)

Bruce.
🤔 I sometimes take each of my boys separately on trips as it's often easier from a parenting perspective and more enjoyable with the one-on-one time. I may need to put some thought into this question though! My youngest almost cleared Texas last year! 😂

Today I tried to join the ranks of the supercharger vets by hitting a bunch of SC's in Phoenix. I had a dentist appointment in Scottsdale, and I just wanted to see all the SC"s between me and home. I had been to one (Kierland) when I did a test drive, but never hit an SC within city limits with my own car.

There were four SC's for me to try: Two on Shea Blvd, one up in Kierland and one near the Mayo Clinic. I never did find the one in the Kierland area as it seems it is hidden either down an alley or inside a parking garage. The other three were all in shopping mall parking lots, and I charged up about a $1 at each. I am truly a newbie at this - I had to repark twice the first time to get close enough for the cord to fit.

I'm concluding that there are two types of SC installations. Ones for road-tripping (typically interstate) and ones for daytime shopping in cities. The ones good for road-tripping have (or NEED to) bathrooms close by, as well as fast food and a place to walk your dog. The city shopping center ones are nice for location while shopping, but they don't look nearly so welcoming after all the stores in the mall have closed, and you have neither food nor bathroom access.

So now I've done 8 superchargers since August, 4 in Phoenix/Scottsdale and lots more to visit.

@JSergeant
Sounds like you saved yourself a bunch of heartache. 🤓

Did you have any intersection with the closure of Eurostar due to flooding in England?
No, we avoided that. I had looked into taking the Eurostar to England, but it seemed less expensive and a lot faster to fly.

I'm going to take a ride to South Carolina from Denver to visit my granddaughter for her first birthday. Of course I will veer off the straight and narrow to traverse however much of New England I can harvest SCs at. Anyone I should say hi to as I pass by? Any must-see sights?

Give a heads up when you're passing through Fairfield County CT (Darien CT, Greenwich CT, Stamford CT, Fairfield CT superchargers are all close to me).
Pepe's pizza at Waterbury CT supercharger.
Mystic Seaport is interesting, but will take some time.
