More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

It’s 2 AM and we finally made it to our final overnight stopping point after a 16 hour day of driving and charging. 7 more hours tomorrow and we’ll be home.

No, a lot of folks feel it’s inappropriate to discuss this in the Superchargers Visited thread, including the victim of the robbery….
I've no objection to the victim's post, given that it happened while he was adding to his supercharger count. It is a sobering reminder that we should be careful (just like the post about crooked police in Mexico). However, I agree that gun rights posts do not belong in this thread.

Someone from Custer invited me on their tour on Friday. It would be cool to see five years later, since my last one.

I’d like to go. Waiting to hear back. She was staying in Custer through Monday, so snow might be a factor.

Here’s an interesting edge case. Springfield, Oregon expanded and has chargers now In adjacent lots of the Holiday Inn and Courtyard hotels, so different properties and different addresses. However, there are not separate flags on Nav and the numbering is sequential. So, sort of like Mount Shasta, but not. The old stalls were giving 112kW vs 142 at the new, which subsequently dropped to 112 kW in short order, so I don’t know if they’re qualitatively different or not.

I got robbed by someone with a gun when I stopped to charge my car at the charger in Topeka, Kansas.

Thanks for the well-written reminder that it's really important to remain vigilant when we're in these late-night, lonely situations. Your handling of the incident was rational and advice is spot-on. I'm happy that you emerged safe and avoided any unnecessary drama with the thief.

Well, I don't know how to start this post... I suppose I'll go with the good news. The good news is that I'm home, I'm alive and I broke into the 400 club by hitting Bethany, St. Joseph, KC, Osage Beach, St. Charles (Streets), Mehlville, Mount Vernon, Indy, and Zionsville on the way here as I was travelling yesterday. I made all the updates.

Now the bad news...

I got robbed by someone with a gun when I stopped to charge my car at the charger in Topeka, Kansas.

He just wanted my cash, I didn't have much, but I gave it all to him and he went on his way and I unplugged and went on mine. I had stopped in to charge the car at about 3AM and I had been there for about 20 minutes. These chargers are in an Arby's parking lot...so nothing was open around there I was driving the bottom of the battery a bit and I arrived there with only about 40 miles of range. No one was around when I plugged in and I even set an alarm on my phone so that in case I fell asleep it would wake me up in 25 minutes. The alarm went off five minutes after I left... The guy came up to the car and knocked on the window and indicated I should roll it down. He had a gun in his right hand which he never actually pointed at me at any time, but he did rotate it in his hand so that I could be certain he was carrying one. He was wearing a hoodie, a hat, and a bandanna over his face. He even had gloves on, so there's no way I could identify him or much of anything about him. But like I said, he just asked for my cash, which I gave him and then he left.

A few things have ran, and are still running through my mind... First, things could have went much worse. Second, I feel like an idiot a bit for putting myself in this situation. I think I got a little too complacent with regards to my personal safety when traveling at these late hours of the night. If I was thinking more soundly I would have charged up longer in Wichita and then totally skipped this charger where everything is closed and went on to one of the other ones that are located at a Hy-Vee which is at least open at 3AM. But in fairness, this all happened so fast that I don't think the specific location would have mattered all that much.

Also, I really feel like we're a bit of a captive audience when we're charging. The car won't move when it's plugged in. So the flight part of "fight or flight" isn't really an option.

Anyway, I did contact the Topeka police and filed an incident report with them so perhaps they will patrol this location more in the late hours...and they are also going to see if they can pull any video from Arby's. I also felt a certain obligation to notify the community here so that we all perhaps ratchet up our level of awareness a bit.

I also contacted Tesla and notified them about this issue. I tried to ask them about getting access to any video that my car might have captured...unfortunately the software update version I have on my MS requires that the Sentry Mode be turned on prior to each use...which I didn't realize...so I don't have any video from the car.

This has been a significant "lesson learned" for me. I'm certainly going to rethink many of the things I was taking for granted when traveling in unknown locations and charging my car. We're all playing this game for fun...and we all want to make it back home safely at the end of our trips. Thankfully I am...and I'm certainly going to make some changes to how I've been doing things. That's for sure.

@IT Geek, so sorry to hear - how horrible. So glad you are safe!
I appreciate the cautionary tale, and made sure I was super aware of my surroundings at night, especially Atlanta.

@Bighorn, I thought this was already discussed and isn't anything new. Here are my photos from Sep 6, 2018 when I plugged in to EACH side of them just to be safe.

They are listed as Kruse Way which is the parking lot attached to one hotel but the other 1/2 of the chargers are in a different parking lot and a different Hotel that I think is on Hutton St.

I thought I remembered somebody saying that since they are all powered from the same set of power boxes then they are all considered the same location. My Shasta and the Turnpike pairs are all powered by different control boxes but I don't know if that was ever made into a rule or a law for these locations.

We have discussed this one a couple times!

Don't be too hard on yourself. I've charged there many times and that spot doesn't scream "you will get robbed". Just a random crime of opportunity most likely.

Thank you.

These pictures are a perfect example of why the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words." is used so often. I was imagining two parking lots separated by a fair distance. The photos show just how close they really are.

There are separate entrances out at the road and it looked like the supercharger cabinets were in a different location. Unless both hotels are owned by the same group, there are probably separate meters. I’m probably going over old ground here:) Either way, I’ve charged at both now.

If you look at my 2nd photo you can see that there is only one brown fenced-in set of power cabinets. I don't I think there is a 2nd set for the other parking lot.

I'm not sure that multiple power cabinets is a catalyst for County as a separate site anyway because what if a 40-stall locatio out in California require 2 or 3 or 4 sets of cabinets because they are spread out on such a large parking area but that would obviously all be considered the same location such as Kettleman City for example.
