Telsa lists FSD on city streets on the ordering page - is this a contractual commitment?

I just noticed that on Tesla's ordering page for the FSD option, that they state FSD will respond to traffic lights, stop signs and city streets this year. Putting this right on the order page seems very bold.

Since this is on the ordering page for the FSD option, would this be a breach of contract if they fail to deliver? On a more optimistic note, doesn't Tesla need to be extremely confident to put this specific time frame on their ordering page to avoid returns or litigation from disgruntled customers if they fail to deliver?

No. It is not a contractual commitment.

Not even close.

And as far as timelines; if you go by their website you are supposed to be able to have your car come find you in a parking lot.

They clearly are not shy about flat-out lying in print for all to see.

...the order page seems very bold....

If you continue to read, it gives you a disclosure on what it means.

When the parking is FREE which is very bold, you need to read a little bit more to see what it means. It might say on Sundays. So it's not free for other 6 days of the week at all.

Back to Tesla it says it can do all those that you mention REALLY but if you read a little bit further:

"...The activation and use of these features are dependent on achieving reliability far in excess of human drivers as demonstrated by billions of miles of experience, as well as regulatory approval, which may take longer in some jurisdictions..."

What it means is they are dependent on:

1) reliability
2) regulatory approval

The part it says "may take longer" can mean indefinitely if they can't get those feature reliable enough to release or if the government doesn't approve.

So the contractual timeline is indefinite. As long as indefinite lives, there's still time for Tesla to deliver those features at the end of the infinity!
