A sappy one follows, but I've been reading up on the history of science. With infinite apologies to A. Pope...

Renewable transport lay hid in night;
God said, '
Let Elon be' and all was light.

Not disputing but rather complementing (as in completing) your prose :)

Now keeping with the religious theme: I quiver in awe of your moderative might - please spare me, a simple, Mod-fearing member of your flock.

Not sure how "crowd-sourcing" poetry is going to work, but thought this might be an idea to kill two birds with one stone: make a little holiday cheer and drive some awareness for Pollux's Tesla Raffle. I've started the effort, modeled after the holiday standard "A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement Clarke Moore.

Please feel free to contribute a stanza or two or three. All that I would ask is that you repaste the entire poem with your contribution back into the thread. Otherwise I fear that we'll be left with orphan lines at the end of the effort. As has happened on this thread in the past, I think it's appropriate if your efforts even improve existing lines. Have some fun! In the interest of getting things going:

’Twas the night before New Year’s at Alan’s near-Boston home
Every person was stirring, the drawing to come;
A raffle was conceived to give away a car
People were welcome to enter from near and from far;

’Twas the night before New Year’s, Alan’s near-Boston home,
EVery person was stirring, the drawing to come;
A raffle was held, the grand prize was a car
Tickets were sold, entries from near and from far.
Climate XChange the ultimate winner to be
Budget upgrade the need, hoping for lots of money;
Global warming is bad, something needs to be done
Market-based carbon pricing a goal, legislative victory to be won.
But back to the raffle for that brings us here
Current day miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer;
The grand prize was a Tesla, the winner’s to spec and to load,
Delivered in just a few weeks, gracing your humble abode;
Maybe an X you desire, your garage to festoon
As Elon would say, it’ll be there, soon.
The best thing of all was no taxes to pay,
EVen installing the charger; Wow! Does that make your day!
Only one wins the car, that is to be sure
Other prizes make losing much easier to endure;
Electric bikes and room robots are really quite neat
Power tools for the yard make your work not a feat;
The cash raffle is gone, no equivalent prizes await,
For the cash raffle was something Alan did really quite hate.
The hour approached, the tension quite thick
This present came late from good ole St. Nick.
Stub-holders were snugged up their monitors to
In hopes that their number's the one that came through;
JenniferQ, Xenoilphobe, Kandiru and others bought many
Ryanjm, McHoffa, Geoffreak and Kf93 went with only one entry.
Hopefully two thousand tickets will EVentually will be sold
For campaigning and publicity are making Pollux quite old;
Wait just a few more weeks for this saga to end,
Winner’s notification Alan surely will send;
But first he’s sure to exclaim, his heart filled with cheer,
“May good luck be to all! Do it again next year?”

There once was an EV from Fremont
Every day I took her on a jaunt
One day she did drive me
To Vegas, SB, and Sandy
Superchargers are a lovely juggernaut!

SpaceX vs. Blue Origin Limericks time!

Jeff Bezos of internet fame,
Went on Twitter to proudly proclaim
That in this race
Of round trips to space
His team had put SpaceX to shame

But Elon was quietly mumbling,
As the Merlins wound down their rumbling:
"the Karman line
is all good and fine,
but our feat was actually humbling"

This one can be sung :)

Melody: Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

Elon the Afrikaner
was no ordinary boy
Racism, sports and fighting
brought him no particular joy

But as the boy grew older
His eyes and mind were opened wide
All his ideas were bolder
As he set off on his crazy ride

He came to California
and he made himself some dough
But money's not end game here
as most of us have come to know

No, Elon had goals far greater
Than being a philanthropist
He wanted to help our species
to thrive and grow and still exist

This would be a welcome addition to the poetry thread. Please cross-post it there where it will have plenty of company.

Yes, I think her jingle would fit in nicely.

My 10 year old daughter had an assignment to write a jingle for her writing class and would like to share it:

Terrific Tesla

A Tesla doesn't use gas
but it can go really fast.
A Tesla is a quiet as a mouse,
and you plug it into your house.

A Tesla is fun to drive,
it makes you feel alive.

A Tesla can go really far,
for an electric car.
It can go about 250 miles,
which makes people smile.

A Tesla is fun to drive,
it makes you feel alive.

A Tesla is a safe car,
it gets five stars.
Its made from aluminum which is really strong,
so bring the whole family along.

A Tesla is fun to drive,
it makes you feel alive.
