This really depends on the individual. It takes me the same time to drive from DFW to Lincoln in a Tesla as it did in the Prius or VW (actually less time in the X). Now if you are 20 and don't stop for anything the results would be different :)
Lincoln, Texas?

According to Google Maps that's 202 miles away. Within the range of a single charge, which means no need to stop and charge.

So how does that contradict the statement of, "... when road tripping it's going to take longer to refuel/recharge per mile of range gained"?

Sure, and that's a value judgement abut the value of the extra time spent. One I happen to agree with. And is worth helping the uninitiated to understand,

But that's different than the math for the actual time to charge, no?
I agree on the math side and I like you and your posts. I think you add a lot to this thread. My main takeaway is we are in transitional times regarding many things. Ev's vs Ice is one of them. Tesla could of done the soon to be bankrupt Nio thing with swappable batteries, but decided against it. In the not so distant future, battery and charging technology will be on par or faster than Ice. Until that time we just have to do what's best for us and our fellow neighbors. I am not judging you or anyone else who might love their Ice vehicle. I would just like to educate them to the long term benefits of Ev's and let them make an informed decision.

This is one of the questions I go back and forth with.
Thinking of all the pros and cons of opening the network to non Tesla's.
Something keeps telling me perhaps Tesla should keep the Moat around the Castle 🏰 for a while to keep people from buying non Tesla's, and the other part is, does that keep with the mission for more people to switch to ev's??
Likewise I go back and forth.

Did a little research and it looks like maybe that will come with v4 charger rollout which I think was originally going to be in 2022. Non Teslas would only be able to charge at new to the network sites or sites which are converted to v4 from v3.

Guess who's still buying more TSLA (110k+ shares)?

Wow.. when did that happen? any tweet that you can share?
I find her argument to be TslaQ quality which is sad to see. Comparing Nikola rolling their truck down a hill to Tesla hard coding a geo fenced area to have it self drive is ridiculous. Musk never claimed the car in the demo can drive anywhere, just that Tesla has the ability to fully control the vehicle and make it self drive via software. Did they pick the best attempt? Sure...but it's not like it was remote controlled or the driver was edited out in post.

Is this to long to share with her?

Maybe she will wake up ?

Edit: I just read a bunch of her posts on the bird. One of the biggest flip flops I have ever seen.
Reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom after he drank the blood.
I forget, how did they snap him out of his trance???

I can already see a post from @Artful Dodger coming about Karen being one of the full on Shorties these days!

It appears that something had nobbled the system so that a twitter reference just shows as a URL and no longer previews the tweet. Fine. It is no longer allowable to post a link to twitter (or anywhere else for that matter) without a description of what's at the other end of the link. Naked links will be obliterated. Maybe repeat offenders too.

Not sure if you are aware, but Tesla explored that 7-8 yrs ago, even opening a pilot swapping station at Harris Ranch. Turns out the interest vs, the logistics made it a non-starter and they shut it down a while later.

And agreed on the fact that charging/cell technology will continue to march on. Heck, when I got my S I was pumped to be able to supercharge at 90KW, and then thrilled when they increased that to 125KW, and allowed my existing car to take advantage of it (as brief a time it spent at that point on the charge curve).

Here we are a decade later and that's increased nearly 3X with v3 superchargers, and will be 11X the initial versions with v4.... battery cell technology will need to advance to allow anything but the Semi to take full advantage of that, but it will be interesting to see what the Cybertruck will do.

Didn't know KarenRei was lost to TslaQ. So many people capitulated in 2022 huh. Crazy to watch.
Don’t think she’s negative on the company, she seems to want Musk to go. It seemed that she got triggered back when the rumors of improprieties with employees surfaced.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but it seemed back in the day she was involved with some pretty complex options strategies. I always thought she was WAY to smart to get in trouble with those, though.

It’s hard to tell. She pretty much withdrew from Twitter when Elon bought it. She only now posts to contradict Elon.

I lean towards keeping the moat. I am curious as well as to if the announcement of the NACS is now interpreted as the network is now open. If so, I don’t think that’s what the White House thought that meant.

I saw that too. And when the actual story came out, the employee had IVF, and asked for Musk to be the sperm donor. Musk and the employee didn't actually have any impropriety.

I never saw Karen back down after that, however.

“I think moats are lame. They are like nice in a sort of quaint, vestigial way. If your only defense against invading armies is a moat, you will not last long. What matters is the pace of innovation, that is the fundamental determinant of competitiveness.”

Oh I didn't even get the full details. Shows you how little I spend my time caring about how much Elon's personal life matters to me..lol.

Options gambler with big losses. Unwilling to accept the consequences from her choices. Thinks she can win her losses back by trashing the company, rather that the groups who actually took her money: Options Market Makers.

That's right: Citadel Capital, Interactive Brokers, sucked million$ from the unwary. Now those victums are biting the hand that fed them. Sad.

I remember years ago Karen writing here that "buying Shares is like buying Options with 1:1 Leverage". Yo, how's that workin' out? :p

Wonder who lost more? IB with their $5.5 slap on the wrist for naked shorting, or "Influencers" who lost big time playing Options in a rigged Casino? We already know that TE's father lost 10M on his "options strategy", so start with that:

Then there's going "full Greg Wester". All symptoms of "smarter-than-Elon" disease.

People: DON'T USE MARGIN, AVOID OPTIONS LEVERAGE, BUY'N'HOLD FTW.
