Tech specs and performance are cool, but visual design is a big letdown. Practicality for journeyman with ladder racks, etc. seems limited. Maybe more military application than work truck. Some cool materials and tech, but limited appeal IMO. I can see SP dropping tomorrow after all the hype.

I really thought he was punking us at first with a fake design because that's what everyone was expecting, but unfortunately not. Franz better get that more conventional design ready.

Edit: The angular design was likely required by the body material. Too stiff to stamp in complex shapes. Still looks a sci-fi B movie prop vehicle.

The glass was unfortunate, but irrelevant in the long run. The specs are undeniable though.

I think looks will be the question mark as to whether it hits big numbers or not. Hopefully grows on people.

Well, I don't know what to say at all. Elon was, as usual, awkward as hell. Someone should have tested the glass. And the design straddles the line between both boring and absurd. But the specs pretty solid. I'm not sold at all, and I suspect the Street will share that view.

I knew Elon would do this and I ignored my inner voice. The only thing that will save them from this will be the ATV and a trailer for the 3. If they just did the ATV and sold it this spring they would have done a killing. I knew I should have sold at $360.

Plaid model S will definitely have more than 500+ miles range, just saying...

The ONLY problem with this machine (besisde its uglyness) is : how do I install the ladder RACK???!?!

But for the rest ; for that price and spec, I will buy it. Damn! it is the same price, accelaration and range that my 3 AWD!!!! And I will never have to care again for aesthetic damage.
