Well, that sure was a bit disorderly! A big difference between the closing auction price and the instant market price.

Don't think we even know if the buyers got their 12.4 million shares that they asked for in the imbalance.

I sold some at $680.xx at 4:10 ET so that was the AH price then.

Robinhood seems to have died. Reporting my 12/24 450c as worth a penny at close.

Etrade showing many of my DITM calls as essentially worthless.

Question to anyone that would know about how the index funds will view tracking S&P. Is it better or worse that the stock closed at 695 verses say 650? Or is that irrelevant ?

trying to keep strong hands. Not sure if enough shares were cleared at the closing cross? Funds will have to buy more Monday and get them from retail shareholders. If so the price should keep going up a little bit more.

I think none of the above. It'll be based on the Opening Cross, Monday morning.

That'll be the indexes next chance to get the shares they need.

So what is the official closing price for deciding whether expiring options exercise. Is it $695? $658.34? Or do I have to call E*Trade and find out what's going to happen to my 680 call?

I believe my TD Ameritrade is broken from the call bid/ask volatility explosion from the last minute (Deep green ITM call debit spreads over the past several months as well as some covered calls, so everything is actually fine).

My Schwab just magically "corrected" from -$315,000 to +$254,000 for the day. Weird stuff. (After having been up $500K and also down $500K during the day)

Fidelity said $658 until 5 seconds ago (15 minutes after close), they just adjusted to $695, so i assume $695 is the real official closing price.
