My front wheel started to make some squeaking noise 1 month ago when accelerating at low speed. I booked a service on the app. My appointment was yesterday, they had no car so they gave me $130 of Uber credits resetting daily.
Yesterday, had to go pick up some clothes for the kids, Uber ride cost $55 on the way in RAV4 hybrid and $60 on the way back in Chevy Volt with 20 min waiting time for the Uber to come on the way back at 10PM. A woman on the street asked me if I needed help since I was standing outside on the pick up location.
This morning I went to work downtown and the Uber green cancelled 3 times before getting finally a ride for $25. Got a message from my app that my Model Y was ready or pick up at 2PM. When I finished at work I booked a Uber and there was no Uber green and UberX cancelled 2 times so I booked a Uber Premium and got charged a whopping $90 for the 10km ride from downtown Montreal to the Tesla Ferrier store in rush hour traffic.
I have to apologize to everyone here for obliterating $230 of profit for Q2 earnings having raped the Uber credits Tesla gave to me. I am deeply sorry and next time I will take my bicycle and save myself some terrible traffic.
The good news is that I managed to review and complete 3 reports on my laptop being chauffeured in the Uber. Almost vomited the way the Volt driver drive and swirled in the lanes.
The service at the Tesla store was incredible. Never had any negative experience. Even emptied their coffee machine and the 70% cocoa chocolates while on a Google meet conference at the Tesla store. People there are just nice and happy to work at Tesla. What a great company with great employees. Couldn’t help myself and went to speak to the rep who was not busy and placed a reservation for another Cybertruck.
I am probably in a stock price euphoria.
PS.: I was hoping to get a Model 3 or Model Y with Uber Green however I had a RAV4 hybrid and Volt clearly with no battery charge left. At least you feel better paying a surcharge of $0.50 for absolutely nothing.
I wonder if Tesla will make robotaxis available on the Uber app, there seems to be a good thing going on between the two Silicon Valley startups
