Attention lurkers: If you are waiting for your car and have had the dreaded Oklahoma delay, please post and let us know. I get the feeling there are a lot of us.

Dylan is in California? Plot twist.

My Delivery Advisor all along has been Jenifer. She's quick with the good news, but hard to get a status from otherwise. Haven't heard from her in weeks.
Same advisor, same experience.

I just got my FedEx registration/title paperwork. Yay for that. But someone at Tesla has a real fun sense of humor.

"Please do not date any form". No kidding.

Cool Tesla logo on the sticky note, though.

Got mine (FedEx paperwork) on Tuesday, the day before my last delivery date. Which is better than the day of, or days after posts I've seen.

Don't care what date they put there, as long as it is well before 12/31/2018.;)

I've also seen postings indicating that we can well expect to be on our second temporary plate before the "real" ones arrive.

This is going to be a bit long but it's good, I promise…

Order date is 7/27, Tesla received the check and the remaining balance on 8/13 and MVPA was signed by me and Tesla on 8/14. On 8/13 My IDA scheduled me for delivery on 8/28. On 8/20 (roughly a week after delivery is scheduled and a week prior of delivery) I called the local delivery center (in Dallas, on Cedar Springs Rd.) to
check on the status but couldn't reach anyone, so I left a message but no one called me back. I reached out to my IDA via email and phone but couldn't raise him either.

I then decided to call the main Tesla line and waited on the phone for roughly 30 mins before a customer service technician named Amy took my call. After verified my information Amy informed me that my car won't be in Dallas until 9/2. I asked her to give me the reason to why the delivery is delayed, after putting me on hold for about 5 mins Amy came back and said my car is 'dead' and needs repairs. I asked her to give me more information, when she couldn't I asked to speak to her supervisor. Amy then offered to swap my car to another one that just rolled off the line so I asked her does that mean I have to signed another MVPA because the VIN will be different. Amy then told me the VIN will be the same (keep in mind this is impossible because different vehicle means different VIN). I told her I don't think that's correct and asked for her supervisor again. She then told me she doesn't have a supervisor but she can check my car's information again. After being put on hold for
couple mins Amy came back and told me she gave me the wrong information that my car's battery is dead and needs to be charged and it will take couple days. Then she offered to reschedule me on 9/2 but that's a Sunday and the store is closed so I raised that question. She then told me they make special accommodation to situation like mine (which I found out later that's not true).

At this point I decided to hang up.
I called back within the next couple hours to see if another technician can give me different answer and finally on the third call I spoke to Drago. Drago was extremely helpful, he found out that my IPA was no online and neither was his supervisor so he escalated to the senior manager. Finally about couple hours after I spoke to Drago, an Inside Delivery Supervisor named Kevin Koran called me back. Kevin indicated the car is indeed still in California and the battery indeed needs charged and he offered to reschedule me for 9/4.

Later on I found out on the Tesla Forum that many people in Texas are experiencing delayed so I reached out to Kevin via email on 8/22 early morning to see if he can find out if my car is still on track for 9/4 delivery. I also called the local delivery center on 8/22 pm and was told the car is still in the holding location in California and it's too early to tell if the 9/4 delivery date
will hold.

After reading all y'all's experience I don't like my chance on 9/4 at all.

Both my IDA and the ID Super didn't pick up their phone the last couple days, I think something is definitely going on and they are not telling us.

Thank you for sharing your story louis!

I have also been given the "battery dead" explanation, and I just cannot fathom why they think that's a good excuse. Unless they're charging the vehicles using hamsters on wheels, that should take an hour not weeks. If it's the 12 volt they're talking about, that takes 5 minutes to swap out.

I apologize for being dramatic but we are being lied to.

So just an update on my delivery, which thankfully went well (I’m really sorry for all of you with long delays, I guess I got lucky in that my delay was less than a week):

Got to my 4:00 pm pickup appointment at Houston North SC about 15 mins late (got tied up a bit at work and had to fight through traffic). My “orientation specialist” was waiting for me (not the same person at the Houston North SC I had been speaking with for updates on my car—it was someone else, but he was very nice). The place was empty, I literally felt I was the only person there. Definitely the only person taking delivery at that time. There were 3-4 other model 3s prepped and ready to go for delivery though, and several others in the service bay which I guess were still getting prepped for delivery.

There were two MSM model 3s parked next to each other, one with 19s and one with aeros. He initially directed me to the one with 19s saying it was my car. My heart sank for a second because I had ordered aeros. I asked him “are you sure it isn’t this one?” pointing to the one with the aeros and he asked me to verify my vin and he apologized for the mix up, the one with the aeros was mine...phew (make sure you check your VINs everyone). I took a quick look around and everything looked good, then we both sat in the car and he gave me a brief overview of the settings and charging (I was familiar with pretty much everything from YouTube videos). That took about 15 mins. Then he brought the car outside. I spent more time carefully inspecting it and making sure everything worked and couldn’t find any issues. It was charged to about 50% which was way more than enough to get me home so I was fine with that.

Driving it home was fantastic! This car is totally worth the wait! Autopilot was calibrating for about 20 miles then became active.

My wife, sister, and brother in law all took it for a spin earlier this evening and everyone was amazed. My 5 year old daughter loved it too and had no issue figuring out the door handle.

Can’t believe it’s in my garage right now!

Thanks LoneStarV for posting this. I've signed up for delivery to Cedar Springs in Dallas. Seems to me that these are only for truck deliveries, not rail.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes, we have the exact same config.

Thanks. I'll definitely report back. Not feeling hopeful, though. All seems fine on my account page (VIN and delivery appointment still there), but I just called to try to get some confirmation (called the main line this time. Only a five minute wait.) Customer Service person was congratulatory till she got my reservation number and looked up my order, then said she couldn't give out any information and that she'd tell my delivery advisor to call. She said they usually call the day before a delivery anyway.

Am starting to feel like nurses are seeing bad news in my test results but have to let a doctor be the one to explain it to me.

Can anyone that actually picked up a vehicle at Pond Springs share their VIN so that we can register for delivery receipts at that location? I would like to see if they are actually receiving vehicles. Also, I wonder if it would be worth spreading some bad press about the delays here in Texas. I mean, right now Tesla is pocketing hundreds of thousands of our dollars and not delivering vehicles.....you would think they would want to be transparent regarding the delays.

Just saw this thread and I'm discouraged. Order 4/16 and fully funded on 8/6. Got the email from Jarrett to schedule a tentative pickup of 8/21 from the Dallas Service Center. Rescheduled for 8/24 (today) only to be told it still wasn't there. I'm told it's a logistics problem and that my car is in the Texas Rail Hub and is just waiting transport to the Texas Service Center on Cedar Springs Road. Now I'm waiting on a new delivery date. Has anyone gotten their car recently? I sold my other car yesterday so this is getting bad.
