I thought so too, but when I ordered the delivery option was not available once I inputed my postcode (W13) and I will have to collect from Park Royal, which is 20 away from where I live. A bit odd....

I’m near Oxford and wasn’t given the option of Park Royal. Only Brent Cross or Bluewater!

I've just spoken to Tesla.
I was advised that a car has not been allocated, and if I see a car on 'Available Inventory' that I would like in different colour/interior then I should call them.
So I asked, does that mean I won't be allocated a Q3 car, answer was: if someone doesn't take their car then maybe it'll match your order.
I also asked if my colour selection was less common, MSM/White, they would not answer, but did confirm that most vehicles were already matched and allocated, and I should wait until 5th/6th September before calling back

Just got my final invoice asking me to pay. Delivery three weeks from today.

If I was to transfer a small amount is there a way of checking they have it before transferring the bulk?

Also, on the final invoice scheduled delivery date is 8th Sept. I wasn’t offered this date, only 13th Sept. Does that sound normal?

Ordered July 22. Allocated 6th Aug. Delivery date received 6th Aug (for Sept 13). Final Invoice 23 Aug.

Was going to try somewhere else, but if they've changed the holders, not sure what to get.

Do we get an allocation text if we have ordered through a lease company? I have all the number text from Tesla directly, would it be right to assume that I would also get an allocation text from Tesla directly?

Yes everything through Tesla. Mines through a lease company. We find out before they do!

I’ve ordered the same colour/spec as you on the 6th July and heard nothing either, although Tesla said on Friday they were still confident of September delivery.

Just ordered my M3 LR in MSM with 18" wheels at the Edinburgh SC after a test drive in an M3P in chill mode.
Delivery in late September - we shall see.

Apparently the difference between Inventory cars and made to order cars are ;that inventory cars are already VIN assigned and usually already being shipped

You should have complained! I test drove from Edinburgh and noticed it was in chill mode. The whole point of the test drive is to test the full performance, so they unlocked it for me when I phoned them after noticing.
It made my decision for me to order my M3LR and not a M3P. Not a huge difference.

Nah, it was all they had and they did offer to arrange an LR - but even in chill mode 0-60 was impressive so I could imagine what the LR will be

I thought it was if you stayed within a certain distance of a Tesla centre they give you the option for delivery.

I have to drive past the Leeds centre to collect from Manchester. Apparently leeds is now too small to cope with deliveries as well as service and test drives.

Why wait? Just get them made up in advance so you're ready to go

Yes, I got the same response last week as well, but todays conversation with Tesla was very negative 'consider changing your colour/s'
It's good to know that I'm not the only one with the msm/white colour, I ordered the performance, which did you go for? will we be fighting for the same car

Incidentally, if you configure a M3 on Tesla’s website they all say “Est delivery : November “ now.
All of our cars are on ships, guys!

I'd read somewhere that the holders fitted to Q3 cars where different, but I guess the plate size should be the same. (unless they now have those 'lips' on!)
