5.1 must be considered an important update as mine downloaded using the cars sim rather than wait for WiFi connection.

There was a glitch on earlier versions where the car would erroneously report a flat 12v battery, leading to unexpected behaviour and a massive influx of service requests.

Ok sure it’s asked but I’m using the single press down for auto pilot rather than the twice press down.

But now it seems when I indicate and change lanes it totally cancels it all ? Is that right as was never like that before.

It always did that on basic autopilot but not on EAP or FSD obviously. (Ah, just realised you mean cancels TACC as well … yes that’s the penalty of the single tap option.)

If you have single press enabled then you completely lose TACC. So if you change lanes (not using EAP) then you cancel out of AP entirely.

There is an option - double click for autosteer & single click for TACC, or single click for auto steer & TACC.

Not sure if it’s app or car related, but the car is now fully blacked out with waves of colour/reflections washing over it until it wakes up in the app.

It was in the latest app notes.

Happened to me once. Have you tried letting the car put itself in deep sleep, i.e: locked, no sentry mode active, not plugged in, not checking it on the app. Leaving it for a couple hours or overnight, and trying again? That solved it for me

I'll try that later today. Normally the cars on charge at home, and has sentry on away from home.

I've turned Sentry off today, so car should go into deep sleep.

Software updated last night, but problem was still there this morning.

I’m getting a bit confused with the previous posts and those with Tesla Vision and not.

My app tells me that my sw version is 2023.44.30.5.1 08a3a7856854.

I think the only significant change for you is that when on AP/EAP you can now turn the wipers off, where previously they were on Auto if AP was engaged and could dry wipe or manic wipe on a whim.

My return trip in the dark and rain yesterday resulting in not a single auto-wipe (USS, MCU2), so had to manually activate pretty much all the way back - courtesy of 2023.44.30.6

You can turn off the wipers with autopilot (sometimes they turn back to auto)

Some speed cameras might display for you.

You may or may not lose Disney.

2nd fairly long drive with 5.1

Wipers: for me the low sensitivity is almost perfect. Only 1 instance of crazy wiping.

1 brake hesitation which is unheard of in my car recently, massive improvement.

70-80% of auto-lane changes failed.

And the dreaded lane departure warning was on for about 70% of the drive. Clean cameras.
