Updated account summary page: did anyone not get it?

7/24/17 res,nonowner, augoct delivery range OBM 19” changed my insurance. I had the we will contact you in 48 hours message then it changed to this last night:
A delivery experience specialist is reviewing your changes and will contact you prior to delivery

At some point after the summary page updates, my Cash Price and Due at Delivery costs updated to include the estimated Reg/DMV Fees. I am guessing that the Sales Tax was also updated, but since NJ has no sales tax on EVs, the amount was still zero.

Anyway, the financing was set to non-Tesla financing. Yesterday I changed this to Tesla financing and all the detailed costs disappeared. I'm wishing the (now missing) cost detail is a sign I am getting close to delivery but since I'm near the back of the line I suppose it is just a quirk of the website? Anyone else seen this?

When I changed from finance -> cash, that immediately caused the website to change to the new version. Honestly don't know how much that means -- this was last week btw.

I got the confirmation page over a week ago. Maybe 10 days ago. I completed the steps at that time, and since it has said "thank you for confirming." (P3D, Silver/white, EAP, 18", Paying cash, no trade in, current owner.)

Today, the "thank you for confirming" verbiage is gone from my page. Still no VIN according to the develop page.

Anyone else lose their "thank you for confirming?"

Just created an account to reply. I lost the edit button this morning. I called and spoke to someone who said I was assigned a vin so that's why it disappeared. the link trick you quoted doesn't work for me either.

Hey guys. So up until this morning I had the old account page for my AWP Non-P Pearl White with payment method pending at finance with 3rd party bank. However, I got lucky recently with Facebook put options and suddenly had the funds to pay cash, and upon changing my payment method to cash, I got the new account page asking me to confirm everything. Does this mean I'm at least one step closer?

As I've learned with Tesla, I probably should get my hopes up.

Yup. Mine changed the same day I got the first email from the delivery advisor stating car is almost ready. That was yesterday.

sorry to say but I wouldn't get your hopes up. My page has looked like that since the 18th (i think). Then again, i'm in Canada and Tesla doesn't seem to want to sell us any cars right now.

I thought whether you financed or paid cash there was no difference considering Tesla gets paid the total build amount either way. Obviously just two different sources but the end point is they get their revenue.

It’s in the realm of possibility that Tesla is so backed up with deliveries that they are prioritizing cash in order to have simpler contracts and streamline delivery, but I’m more inclined to believe that the website is coded to show the new page whenever all steps are completed or your car has entered production. Just seeing the new page isn’t necessarily indicative of any kind of movement on your order.

As some anecdotal evidence, I switched from third-party financing to cash (finishing the only step that was pending) and immediately got the new page asking me to confirm my details. However, my reservation wasn’t placed until 5/17 which puts me pretty far down the list. I don’t plan on getting my AWD for a couple months at the earliest.

Or - I’ll get my VIN soon and it will be evidence the other way...

Doesn't hurt. I originally placed my order as a cash one and did the switcharoo once my advisor contacted me haha.

Oh, glad I found your response. I did pretty much thall same thing except I’m bringing 3rd party financing. In your case, what happened after you said that to the advisor? Did it complicate anything?
