Updates to Referral Program: no AB anymore?

But you started the thread to ask if it's still available, someone said "yes" and provided proof of it, then 3 weeks later someone else said "I don't see it" and that's the answer we're going with?

That's confusing to me, since the only reason you asked is that you couldn't find it... but then you realized that was because you already had it.

The entire question of the thread was based on a misunderstanding, and now a new member has popped up and stated "yeah, I can't find it either, must be gone".

I guess I'd be more satisfied if a handful of long-standing members without AB would confirm. There's nothing on the google that concurs for "Tesla referral acceleration boost". I would think at least one of the EV-centric news websites would GPT an article about its removal for some clicks.

Yeah, somebody without AB here would have to confirm. I have no idea of it's still available or not. Under9k doesn't see it, that makes me wonder.

Bought Y new and definitely don’t have it because I still have the option to purchase it through app for $2,000. I’m definitely confused. But I’m also glad to see that you can still see it, so it means Tesla didn’t discontinue it as a perk.

Just to update a friend of mine is in the same boat. His app no longer shows the acceleration boost perk available for referral credit redemption.

Got an update on my situation. So today I can see it on the app. But I cannot update cause it says I need a certain firmware. Isn’t that a way older firmware.

Very interesting. Yeah, the first 4 digits are the release year. What version is your car on?

I would expect it to require *at least* that version.

By any chance, did you just purchase your vehicle? Brand new cars ship with older firmware and then update within a few weeks.

We have had the Y for about 6 months. It is currently on the newest firmware 2023.38.9

Have you tried pressing "redeem"? I remember mine displayed the same message with software version 2020.26 being required, and it redeemed and installed just fine.

Yes I tried but the redeem is not “pressable”

I haven’t tried it yet lol. But to be honest I drive my 2018 M3 LR RWD and when I take my parents out I drive them around in their Y LR. So with that said I always felt their car was way faster acceleration wise already. I can’t wait til we go out on the weekend. I’ll get to try it on then. I’ll report back.
