My account says I am scheduled for delivery 9/25 at 5:30 Mt. Kisco. but no VIN and no communication. Mt. Kisco does not return my calls. Additionally, when I first ordered the car they assured me that they would do home delivery since I am over 200 miles away. I still want home delivery since the car will be owned by my wife, and it is difficult for both of us to get the same day off work and the opportunity cost is high. But now I am uncertain that first, the delivery date shown has any veracity, second, that they will honor their commitment to do home delivery, and third, that I will get the tax credit if I can arrange home delivery. Lot's of uncertainly on a $65000 car. A marked contrast with my years of experience buying and leasing BMWs and Audis, and even my most recent experience with my Alfa, which has actually been the best car I have ever owned and where the service has been phenomenal.

I would call Tesla toll free and get a status. You are getting close. I had one specialist set my delivery date and another call a couple of days ago with confirmation (but no email to me as he promised so that we could exchange information if needed).

The BMW and Audi business here in Rochester have improved in the last number of years for sure.

I called Tesla. They said they had no details, but Mt. Kisco would contact me when they get the car and that the VIN may not appear until car is at the delivery center. I also asked about home delivery, the tax credit, etc, and they said to ask the delivery center. Basically, after asking several more questions, it was clear they were clueless and were just trying to get me off the phone.

Finally I got a call from IDA. He was like I am not sure how our scheduler mixed up and offered you to pick up in PA. As per him, to get 2k credit the vehicle has to be picked up or delivered in NY. He also said there is no VIN assigned and they will contact once VIN assigned and talked me into home delivery

I finally got through to someone at Mt Kisco about my supposed delivery for 9/25. They said they are expected the car there on 9/25 and suggested delaying delivery until the end of the week. Then I asked about home delivery, and he said no way. Can I ask who you spoke to who indicated home delivery is an option.

I believe it was Patrick, but I would not be surprised If I talk to someone else or him at Tesla now and they could not find any record of such a conversation ...

Home delivery is promised by Tesla for anyone living far enough away from Mt. Kisco, so quote chapter and verse from the website to the guy at Mt. Kisco:

How Ordering Works
If you live more than 160 miles from the closest service center, your vehicle can be shipped directly to your home or business.

Frequently Asked Questions - Ordering a Tesla
If you live more than 160 miles from the closest Service Center, your vehicle can be shipped directly to your home or office. Payment in full is required before the car will ship, and a window for delivery will then be provided.

You *should* pick it up at Mt. Kisco so that you can more easily reject delivery, and so that you can avoid paying Tesla in advance. If you'd prefer to pick it up at Mt. Kisco, Tesla has also been known to provide Amtrak tickets to get you downstate so that you can pick it up.

Did you get VIN, MVPA etc for Friday pick up? Now I have an appointment for Mt. Kisko pick up on 09/29, hopefully somehow I get all documents on time for loan...

I'm in Fairport and have a pickup scheduled for 9/28 in Mt. Kisco. Haven't heard a peep from Tesla in well over a week. Last call was a confirmation call about my existing collection date. I have no VIN.

Hmm...My credit union says they need complete MVPA by 09/27 afternoon so they can send check to Tesla, lets see how it goes. I will keep an eye on your update if you get your car on Friday. Do you have a loan or cash payment?

It's just cash. I've made it super easy for them. ;) I will need a VIN for an insurance card of course.
I know from another forum that your reservation was canceled last minute, mine got canceled 23 hours before the appointment ( I should consider myself lucky then). I got a text message for cancelation saying someone will reach out to rescheduled in next several weeks.....I wonder whats your status now, are you rescheduled? received VIN, next tentative dates etc ?...

I'm no-where at the moment. My gut said if I showed up last weekend and camped out at Mt. Kisco I would have gotten a car. My old "DS" who works in the Energy division (and never gave me ANY information) now told me I'm assigned to another person. But surprise, no response from them either.

What is your status now?

Same as yours....The appointment cancellation was via text just saying I will be contacted within several weeks for the further update. I have no idea who sent the text...I called 800 and delivery number on Monday, once I was told my car was in "production" and DA will call me in 30-45 min then they said someone will call in 24-48 hours. So basically they are like a black hole now

I hope everyone on this thread has stopped fretting the disjointed details and have received the next generation of transportation.

I’ve have my M3 AWD white for about a month. After a bad home delivery experience ( car delivered to main St Sodus with license plates in the trunk and the driver knew nothing.). 20% discount was applied. The DEivery person was great and responsive. She called when there were problems and talked to my insurance agent as well. Mt Kisco also called me twice to coordinate.

But the car is great w just a few issues(won’t connect to internet and horn doesn’t work on left side of steering wheel.) I will call for repair soon. I’m still on 36.2.

I had the front end wrapped at Areté. They did a good job.

So I join this club, 20% off of what?

Just Apparel and Lifestyle items in the store. Glad Arete took care of you. It will be interesting to know how long it takes Tesla to get someone out to service your car.
