I don't understand these numbers. 44.9% share in CA? BEV share was 21.1% in 1H 2023 with PHEVs adding a few percent more.

"The analytics firm's August E-Vision Intelligence Report noted that EV adoption has ticked up year-over-year, up 1 point on the company's scale that measures adoption rate. The scale measures what percentage of buyers choose an EV when one is available in their preferred class, price range, and from a preferred brand. Nationwide, that number reached about 21 out of 100."

Note that Hyundai-Kia-Genesis beat GM for the #2 spot with 48.4k vs. 43.7k BEVs. VW Group was 4th with 36.3k.

More than 10% of Mercedes and BMW sales are now BEVs. And also ....... Subaru! They virtually tied mighty Toyota despite having a much smaller overall presence and only having a rebadged Toyota bz4x (Solterra) available to sell.
