Numbers from Cox Automotive. US only.

As you might tell by looking again, only brands offered in the USA.
Good point. The numbers just looked so high for the German brands, hence why I got confused. I never would have guessed BMW did 15% EV in the US. I know their EV percentage is growing steadily in Europe, but seems to have come to the US in a greater sense than I would have thought.
Usefull information, thanks.

For this Q3 US BEV market share is 7.9%. So somebody has to be opposite Toyota,Honda, Mazda and the laggards. For this Q3 Tesla US BEV market share fell from 59.5% to 50%.

Tesla owners won't need adapters....
Owners of older Teslas will need a $400 upgrade. An early Model 3 owner told me Tesla wouldn't upgrade his car at all, but that was ~6 months ago so maybe things have changed.

Too many people mistakenly believe NACS = Tesla charging system. It's not at all. The plastic & metal plug is from Tesla, but the electrical signaling and communication protocols are all CCS. Older Teslas will plug into third party NACS chargers just fine, but fail to charge. Likewise, NACS cars will plug into v2 Superchargers just fine, but fail to charge. It's going to be a mess for a while, and people making claims like the one above only add to the confusion.

New Teslas use CCS software protocols.

Old Teslas use CHAdeMo software protocols.

All North American Tesla Superchargers interface with all North American market Teslas but third party NACS chargers won't interface with old Teslas using CHAdeMO software protocols. You will need an adaptor or replace the old Tesla connector with the new Tesla connector.

Didn't Barra announce today that GM's electrification plans got pushed back due to costs (~$200m per week) associated with the UAW strike?
