My specialist/advisor told me to apply before (along with the app asking for it) so I went with what they told me (even for the solar panels they had me apply right away even though installation occurred months later). So I shouldn’t have trusted the advisor then who I would expect to know better than me.

Tesla advisor confirmed my MYP VIN came with both the parcel shelf and the Michelin tires 
EDD2 : May 4th - June 1st
EDD3: May 8th - May 22nd
EDD4: May 9th - May 22nd
VIN Assigned: May 9th at 6:00 PM. I received an email and a text.
EDD5: directly after VIN received. May 23 - May 30.
After an absurd amount of research (I'm sure many can relate), I switched my above order to Performance this morning while keeping all other options the same. Unfortunately, my EDD went from April- June to June-July. Uggh.Late May-mid June?MYP seem to be about a month….LR about double that unless it is an inventory car.
Am I penalized for changing my order -- do I get put at the "back of the line"? Do you think my order now will take longer than my original MYLR?
Regardless, I feel very good about my decision to change -- and didn't do it to get earlier delivery.
Your not penalized, however you just moved out of one line and into another, at the back. They come from 2 different factories so I don't think they could really "fairly" inject you into the middle of the line. ;-)
Not far behind you with OD of 4/7 and EDD out to 6/24. Maybe the White interior/ tow combo?
I'm trying to get my insurance set up. I got a pretty good quote for my current provider. I currently cannot choose a delivery date. Is this because I have not provided insurance in the Tesla app? Unsure how this works. I can get insurance future dated to my delivery range of 5/21. Will that then allow me to choose a delivery date? Or will I be able to select a delivery date and then get my insurance in order?

Anxiously awaiting my vanilla MYLR EDD update. OD was 4/22 and it's still showing June 2-30. Tesla is testing my patience by building the induction wheels first but I'm gonna hold strong to save that $2k and ride comfort.
