Waiting Room for MYLR/MYP : May 2023 orders

Can anyone suggest what it is about my car that keeps it from being produced? Maybe they only install towing packages one day a month? It was frustrating to see inventory cars rolling out, but not my car when they were pushing so hard for Q2 deliveries. I'm willing to delete the towing if it gets me a match, but otherwise...I want what I want. Ordered May 10th. Towing added about two weeks later. Current EDD use July 2-16 with no VIN assigned.

I am in a similar boat. Waiting for my MYLR Red. Ordered on May 6th. Have watched a lot of inventory and ordered cars go out the door. Thought the end of Q2 would be the end of the wait. But no EDD July 6th-14th. Going to be damn near melancholy if it gets pushed out again. Lol

7/8 received a message that the car is onsite and available for pickup, so jumped on it and took delivery 3 days sooner.

Car is perfect, no issues whatsoever. Finally graduated. Good luck to whoever is still waiting.

Whelp, got the Y today. Super happy with the delivery process. Panel gaps looks great. A small chip and a small scratch to have fixed. The rear diffuser had a misalignment on one corner but had the SA document these so I could schedule a repair appt. Good luck to the rest of the May orders.

Ugh. Tesla told me on July 1st it would be a couple of days for a new car to arrive. This week they told me the car would arrive by the end of this week. Now it has slipped into early next week. Next week starts to become impossible to take delivery as I am away, and I have communicated those delivery blackout dates to them for many weeks. Frustrated as this feels like their fault for delivering a new car to me with quality issues that they refused to correct so I had to reject it and they provided guidance of a "couple of days" which is now weeks.

Hang in there. I had to reject my first delivery due to quality issues too. Got a new VIN assigned in a few days but the EDD is pushed to the last week of July. I believe this is just how long it takes to ship the car.

What's amazing is how many get rejected. I've seen dozens here on TMC, and this site just represents a sampling of new Teslas overall. Makes you wonder how they manage to get rid of them. Are there that many people out there who will buy a car without even looking at the body panels, paint, roof gasket, etc.?

I'd say people on this site are less tolerant on body panel issues and etc. I have quite some friends just don't care too much about theses stuff and of course they don't come to this site.
