Chrome delete is what I did yesterday (breaking the rules of the thread), or rather what someone else did, for an entire day.

Can’t be bothered to wash the car to get better photos, but you get the idea.

Surprising how much of a difference it makes visually.

Today, I plugged my M3LR into a 32Amp socket for the first time. Instead of taking 5 hours to charge from 60-80% it should be 2 hours.
I shall find out in the morning...

I also installed the Abstract Ocean matte screen cover - excellent. Tomorrow, the carbon center console shell, carbon door sill covers and carbon wheel wrap.

That looks great. May I ask how much?

I was quoted £350 and decided to do it myself with the Nikola Pro kit from the US. About halfway through at the moment - will post the results.

I paid £250 for mine, and was very pleased with that given how long he spent on it (8am - 5pm).

Was done by a guy in Cardiff who used to work for Topaz but is now striking out on his own.

I was getting quotes of double that from local places in and around Bristol.

Very complex modification job today involving unpacking a silicon cup holder liner from a box and dropping it into place in the centre console.

Nice little product and stops me catching the chrome edges of the trim with steel travel mug / prevents stuff rattling round in the holders.

Surprised you tried to fit that on your own to be honest. Best left to the professionals in my experience. You’re a braver man than me!

Not directly related but yesterday we had SMETS2 installed on our second electricity supply point - the one that feeds my 32A charging facility.

SSE had refused me smart metering as “their computer said we don’t have mobile signal”. They didn’t get the irony of me talking to them from my mobile phone at the location of the meter, it just didn’t register ! COMPUTER SAYS NO.

So I complained, really bluntly, to their customer team and 4 weeks a later a very nice lady named Nathalie from SSE phoned me and listened to my complaint, then immediately went and booked me an install. 10 days later and it’s in. Surprise surprise it had mobile signal no problems.

This is quite a big deal as it means for my average charging duration of 4-5 hours (approx 50% battery amount e.g. 30-80) it should be possible to schedule for the cheap overnight rates on Octopus Go.

Next update to follow - full detail and ceramic being done - collecting the car tonight.

Final alterations and fitting of my custom made window blinds today.

I couldn't find any decent, reasonably priced options to black out the side windows when camping so bought 4 metres of Lycra and asked my mum to get her sewing machine out.

They block all light from coming into the car, don't prevent the windows from rolling up nor the doors from closing. I poured a glass of water over them and it runs straight off due to the type of fabric.

Also made a carry case for them which doubles as a monitor cover to prevent light from it ruining a good night sleep :)

Replaced number plates and got rid of the Tesla plate holder monstrosities.

Was getting dark so no proper pics of ceramic finish but decent photos of it at the detailers are on their way.

Tried to avoid it as long as possible as I think they look a bit tacky, however most new passengers have opened the door using the manual release.

Unfortunately I often forget to deliver the safety briefing before each ride.

Only installed on the front passenger door. No need for the drivers side and no manual release on the rears.
