I'm not sure I understand, and I don't have FSDb yet so please enlighten me. If I want to use FSDb on city streets, I pull down on the right stalk twice. If I want to disengage, I pull up on that stalk...is that correct?

I'm not saying that phantom braking or other Autopilot/FSD/FSDb anomalies don't occur, they do, all the time. But you don't see other makes mentioned in everyday accident news.

The thing that irks me is that you would never see an article that said the driver of the (Ford, Toyota, BMW, whatever) was abruptly stopping and swerving before the crash. You would just imagine that the driver was avoiding something or was intoxicated. But if a Tesla is involved in any way...

MYLRToon: Tell me what's not working for you. I'm interested and curious about your experiences... I've had great results with both parallel and perpendicular parking. It may be a bit slow in completing the maneuver, but it works every time.

The biggest problem I encounter with Autopark is the impatience of other drivers around you...it takes a little longer for Autopark than a human. I get yelled at a few times a week ;-)) and I'm seeing more haters every day.

Agree with the follow distance, even at 7...at 65mph I'd rather see a gradual braking than wondering "is it going to stop?" and sometimes I disengage. It's a psychological thing, I know, but it's difficult to trust the car in the beginning. That's my feeling, at least, one month into owning the car.

Thanks...I asked because yesterday I tried it for the first time. Double pressed the stalk on the on ramp, the car seemed to speed up quite a bit and started sounding alarms and flashing red on the screen. I immediately disengaged before the end of the ramp. There was traffic about 100 feet...

New owner here...so...if all is set properly as noted above, when would you double press the stalk? When you're on the on-ramp? Will the car navigate the on-ramp and merge safely even in heavy traffic?

Isn't that the definition of parallel parking? Every driver's test has you parallel park behind another car... Line up the rear ends, pull back about a foot, turn the wheel all the way right, when your steering wheel lines up with the rear end of the other car start cutting in...;)

Enhanced autopilot will self-parallel-park. I just got my car and haven't used it yet except to see the procedure pop up on the screen when you slowly pull up to a car that has room to park behind it. Engage your turn signal and the screen outlines the spot in blue, you press the P that shows...

Voice control for the fan works fine for me...ie either "turn the fan to 4" or "raise/lower the speed of the fan by 1"
