2022 Model S Plaid: Is it normal for my air suspension to look like this?

So my car is getting a Rear Right replacement air strut due to clunking noises over 7-25mph dips/uneven roads, and I'm wondering if what I noticed looking under the car is relevant? This is the problem strut (probably the strut, anyway... Tesla won't really know till they replace it), and there...

2022 S swivel display temporary malfunction!

Got in my car today, with the screen already facing toward me, and was greeted with this message when I opened the default settings page. Never seen this before! Holding down the on-screen button, the screen moved left and right while making some pretty awful noises as it got to the end of its...

Does this drive anyone else mad on a daily basis?

Seriously, every day I get into my car and reverse out, I'm greeted with this stupid Let Me Show You How To Use Your Car - prompt, which, by the way, makes it so you can't interact with any of the buttons for a second. Oof, just gets my goat...

For tall drivers, the yoke is (unfortunately) the best option.

Why? Because you can do this when parked or for getting in and out. This is amazing. I’m also pretty much perplexed that it took me 2 years to figure this out… 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m 6’5.5” (yes, every half inch counts). Before: After: Seriously, chillaxing in the car or getting in and out is...

Tesla TV apps (Netflix etc) frame rate = bad.

Serious question: How does anyone watch anything in any serious manner in their Tesla? For example, the frame-rate is so poor/uneven it's maddening. For something advertised as the best place to watch movies etc, I'm amazed there's been zero improvement for this over the years. It was bad in...

Is this trunk rebound normal on the refresh Model S?

I don't feel like my trunk used to do this, and Tesla will say it's within spec. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this sort of small rebound when the trunk finishes opening. I've tried resetting the limit in different places, and no matter where - it always rebounds a little. As mentioned...

Lucid Air Grand Touring vs Tesla Model S Plaid.

So, I wasn't planning on driving a Lucid Air today, but I happened across the showroom, popped inside, checked it out - and went for a drive. Thursdays can be like that. So here we are, the Lucid Air Grand Touring (819hp) vs my 2022 Tesla Model S (Plaid, in my case). Looks: 1.) So I don't love...

2022.24.5 shows recommended 21"tire pressure as 20 PSI on 2022 Model S Plaid?

This is an odd one. Tesla tells me that 42 PSI is recommended for the Model S refresh. But the in-car Service tab shows 40 PSI recommended. Is this a new change? Is everyone seeing this change, 2021 and 2022 S?

2022 refresh swivel screen rattling housing.

Alright… given the absolutely shoddy job Tesla did with the housing for the swivel mechanism and that it’s just plastic allowed to rattle around (most noticeable when adjusted toward the driver), what have people come up with in terms of quieting down the plastic trim? It’s terrible how much it...

Refresh Model S driver’s seat creaking.

2022 Model S. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It creaks under the most gentle of accelerating or braking, or if I just push back into the seat manually. Driving me crazy… Just started doing this at about 200 miles on the odometer. Cheers, all.

2022 Model S Matrix Headlights can move!

So this is sort of interesting to me, and I can't quite explain it, but for those of you with a 2022 Model S with the matrix LED headlights, go check this out! Love to hear your thoughts on this, or what Tesla may have planned for the future.

Just picked up my 19" Cardenio Winter Wheel + Tire set from Tesla. No wheel weights... Unusual?

So just picked up my winter wheel set for my 2021 Model S Plaid from Tesla service. I did not have them mounted on the car. I noticed only one wheel had a weights on it, and the other three did not. I asked, and they did not seem concerned, and the service advisor told me this happens if the...

Model S Plaid: Still stuck on FSD Beta 10.4. What to do?

I just don't understand Tesla at all. You'd think they'd want as much feedback as is possible, especially from their slower-selling/delivering vehicles like the new Model S. And yet, here I am, stuck on 2021.36.8.6 (FSD BETA 10.4). There's only one car on this version, as per TeslaFi. I've...

iOS app: Tesla notifications "work," but they're not actually letting me know they triggered.

This has been driving me a bit crazy for a while. If I unlock my phone, I can then see oh yes, I have a notification from Tesla that my car is charged, or that the car has hit my set temperature inside etc, or that Tesla Service has messaged me, but the problem is I'm not getting alerted that...

Model S Plaid 21" Pilot Sport 4S (wet/cool) road noise making me insane.

OK so up until this weekend, I'd really not driven in both the rain and cold (40-50F) yet in the Model S. Now that this has happened, the road noise is utterly unbearable, like an intermittent woah-woah-wooooah-wooah-woah sound. My wife picked up on it immediately today (first time she's ridden...

Model S refresh steering yolk heat settings.

Anyone else wish we could set the level of heat for the steering yoke? I find it gets way too warm for me, so I end up shutting it off after a few minutes of it being on... Be nice if we had three levels like the seats have. (and yes, I know I spelled "yoke" wrong. Thanks, autocorrect!)

    Model S Plaid range discussion.

What are you all seeing for range with the new Model S Plaid? I’m seeing pretty terrible range in mine (21” wheels), at least if we go via the battery percentage drop. e.g. I left the house at 93% (set to 90 but it charged to 93% because….buggy software or whatever). It dropped to 59% as I...

200mph. What does the Plaid actually need?

Some of the reviews have said that the Plaid S needs just the Arachnid 21” wheels to hit 200mph when Tesla unlocks the functionality. https://www.motortrend.com/news/tesla-model-s-plaid-200-mph/ But on Tesla’s site it says this: “The indicated Plaid top speed requires proper wheels and tires...

Model S Plaid vs Porsche Taycan Turbo S vs my Model 3 Performance (after having driven all three).

So this isn't a full review of any sort, because I have not spent extended periods of time in either the Plaid or Taycan Turbo S - though I do currently own a Model 3 Performance, and have driven and been a passenger in the other two vehicles. First, the Taycan Turbo S: 1.) It looks pretty...

2021 Model 3 door panels are inferior to <2021?

Yoke airbag line is really noticeable?

I had noticed in the picture of the yoke in Motortrend's article a weird imperfection on it. My neighbor is stalking his new Plaid (he can't get it till Saturday), and I noticed the same imperfection. You think this is the airbag line, and why is it so darn visible...

App loading times in the car mega slow?

It's been a while since I've used YouTube in the car, but... jeez... is it me or is it WAY slower to load the app now? Even after a reboot or software update for the car (on 2020.44), it takes what feels like forever to load the app.

Here you go: "Proof" the Model 3 Performance needs a "Ludicrous" software update.

Tracking the car from the Tesla app not updating car position when driving?

Hey all, Just wondering if this is a bug with the app or if you need Premium Connectivity for this to work. Why doesn't Sentry mode work properly?

Seriously. I'm genuinely curious. Once again, today, a lady walked by my car and triggered Sentry. I got back into the car to see there was an event, which happened in the last few seconds of the last file in the 10 minute saved clip. And guess what? There's no more footage after she starts...

So how does one go about getting this trim piece?

I've had this missing since I picked up the car, I assume, but didn't really care enough to get it replaced when I noticed it a few months back. Am I losing my mind or did NoA/AP switching lane change in 2020.12.x?

So I’m either losing my mind or something changed here... Previously with FSD, if I was using AP or NoA and wanted to change lane, I used to merely tap the left stalk down or up for left or right lane change. That no longer works. Now you have to push/pull the stalk down/up fully past the...

Poll: Opening the doors from inside: Finger or Thumb?

I realized I might be the only person who uses his index finger to open the door, but it makes way more sense to me this way, and I've always done it this way. If you use your finger, your hand is oriented where you can just push the door with your hand. If you use your thumb, you inevitably...

No more auto-dimming mirrors on Model 3?

Another cost-cutting move, it would appear. The interior of all Model 3 no longer states auto-dimming for the mirrors. Tesla seem keen to keep removing features one by one.

    2020.8 / 2020.12 have smoother FSD visualizations.

I’m really pleased to see this, as prior to these updates (I can’t say which because I was out of town and barely drove the car during 2020.8 release), these were rendering at around 30fps. Anyway, for HW3 owners, cones and trash bins render at close to 60fps now, which is a welcome addition.

Tip: You can swipe notifications (like low regen) away.

So normally my low-regen (when car is cold) message disappears to the side of the screen to make an "i". It didn't today, and tapping it did nothing. Then I discovered you can actually swipe the notification to the left to make it disappear, or to the right to make it re-appear. If you already...
