I have a MSM Plaid and was considering the acid green used on the Porsche 918 Spyder's calipers. Also thought about light blue. Orange would tie in with the orange plaid animation after launching. However, I don't think orange would look very good. I think red is too overused now.

I'm in Dallas and received a VIN for my Plaid. Current delivery estimate updated today to June 23-29.

I just received a VIN. I received an email to make final payment. Then went to account page, and VIN was there! Dallas, Texas - RN 1150 - Plaid MSM/Black interior with wood, Spiders, No FSD - Delivery is June 28-30.

Plaid orderer from Dallas here. Still stuck on June. Has everyone that received a car at the event or that received a VIN had FSD? I think FSD has a long way to go, so did not order. I'm thinking that's a strike against me.

That's what I did. Bought a used, late model, low miles M3. Taxes and reg divided over number of months of wait time is less than renting per month especially when there is no end to the wait time.

I am happy to report that Tesla finally did the right thing and replaced the drive unit. I had to appeal to the service manager who heard it on his drive along with me in the car. I am so happy I don't have to hear the drone sound any more.

Give them a chance? I've been to the SC four or five times now and spent $1400 on new tires as they claimed that was cause of noise. I've given them plenty of chances. They're trying to stick me with a defective unit and hoping I quit coming back.

Correct. It wasn't an inventory car. They count the sale once the car is delivered. So, for custom builds, you need to hit them around 45 days before quarter end. They may care more about end of year than end of quarter as well. Not sure.
