Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

This is a feature, not a bug. It's been present for as long as i can remember. The indicated range at arrival under 5% always factors in the expected consumption at "stay below X kph" speed. The more you charge, the higher the X value. Easy enough to check if you stop charging while this is...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

The "Dev" and ludicrous screen option are not the same. Neither requires root - just access to the dev mode with a token. If you're real friendly with a Tesla tech they'll give you one or activate the screen on your profile when you're in for service. I've attached an image of my P85+ at 100%...

Has anybody with a Model S or X 75 kWh battery ever seen a charging rate of more than 100 kW?

Yes, they were 75 packs. It could not sustain that charge rate for long, but max amperage was definitely higher in the beginning.
  5. Adrian

Has anybody with a Model S or X 75 kWh battery ever seen a charging rate of more than 100 kW?

In the very beginning it was not limited. Here in Europe, charge rates of 114-117 kW was observed on 60 and 75-packs for a short while before they limited the amperage. You'd see 380A at some (notably Denmark) and 350A at others (Norway,) while they were all limited to 330A later. Afaik that...

    A Better Routeplanner

Does ABRP simulate max charge rates for manual charging input? Say, you set 120 kW charging rate at a location, will it then simulate a supercharger session? This could be useful to plan routes where superchargers are under construction.

    HDMI interface to the touchscreen

VLC, Plex etc. has settings to correct audio delay. The problem is the delay is different every time your phone connects - some software to determine delay would be brilliant, but doesn't seem to exist as of now. In theory possible to make at least.

    HDMI interface to the touchscreen

If a phone with VLC is used as a source, you can adjust the audio / video delay. Actually, some software to determine the delay from listening to sent audio vs audio picked up from the devices microphone shouldn't be impossible. VLC is open for implementing new features and this could gain a lot...

    Face-level vents not blowing

I've been having the same issue - freezing rear passengers. No range mode or anything. I've found a workaround - force the A/C on.

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

Personally i'd rather be home early for a home-cooked dinner than sit extra time staring at the MAX Burger :p Everyones use-case is different.

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

This, in addition to a couple of reports from the Norwegian forum, are all seemingly cars bought without the 5 kWh upgrade - so they are 90 kWh packs as well. So far it seems contained to the "new" chemistry used in the 90 kWh packs, as there has been no reports of 100 kWh cars being throttled...

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

Two questions: 1) Aren't those the 90 kWh upgradeable packs? This would contribute to the above findings. 2) CHAdeMO at home? I'd love to have a look at that setup!

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

With the introduction of 8.0 there was an immediate massive drop in SC speed for the 90 kWh which @Bjorn documented from several users on the norwegian FB group forum. From 110+ kW on 7.* with a drop: to under 90 or so kW max for a long duration. In later updates the speed has climbed back up...

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

@AnxietyRanger So far the common denominator seems to be the 90 kWh packs, no? Bjørn was very early suspicious of something like this happening.

Can the system distinguish specific stalls? This could help rule out non-reporting chargers upon arrival, as they may have other problems limiting charging as well.

    Unveiling on Oct 17th

Well. Three seconds at 250 km/h (which isn't that uncommon,) is 208 meters. You can do a lot of braking in three seconds. Add two seconds of reaction and you land at 347 meters (yes, i know the distance would be less since the speed decreases) but with some safety margin i'd say at LEAST 350...

    Unveiling on Oct 17th

Still not enough for German Autobahns, where average speeds exceed 100 mph regularly. And this happens: Drivers are trained to account for this, the cars are not - yet. 250 meters (i thought it was 100?) pass by really quickly at those speeds - if a Model S were to attempt to move to the...

    P100D, 760HP and Performance Tests

No but it knows the diametrical relationship between the front and rear wheels, and since they have a different ratio you can exploit this. It also knows road speed vs GPS speed and calculates the speed shown in-dash (and i'd guess the torque curves) accordingly. The sensors and system will...

Tesla's response to me leaking info about the P100D?

I've been lead to believe a P85+ will eventually be able to upgrade to a larger battery pack - i gather from what you're saying that this is wrong? How do we differentiate 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 batteries - do you have a list?

They are far from the same thing. PS3s are performance tires, what you have is are allseasons. Massive difference in performance, but consumption might be similar.
