Elon fires the head of SuperChargers and much (all?) of the SuperCharger team - how will this affect new SCs?

I wonder how this will affect the SC build out in Canada. But I can't imagine it will be good. It appears that SCs already in the pipeline will be built out, but it isn't clear if there is anyone left to build new SC sites. I also wonder if it will affect the reliability of existing sites...

Tesla called and offered to transfer my free Supercharging to a new vehicle

I bought my Model S in late 2014 and had it delivered in early 2015. I have free Supercharging for life. Today the Tesla Lawrence Ave (Toronto) location called me and offered to transfer my free Supercharging to a new Tesla if I bought before Dec 31. I have never, ever received a call from...

Any other Model S having issues with network connectivity/streaming audio?

My car is a 2015 Model S P85D. I paid to upgrade from 3G to LTE several years ago. But I still have the original MCU. I continually have trouble with LTE connectivity and streaming audio. I think that there are two issues - (1) the handoff from Wifi to LTE when I leave home, and (2) random...

We're going to need a lot more SuperChargers soon

Now that GM has joined Ford in adopting the Tesla charging connector, we are going to need Tesla to scale up the SC network once GM and Ford start selling significant numbers of EVs, especially when you consider all of the new Teslas also joining the EV fleet. I wonder if Tesla has planned for...

Tesla opens up Superchargers to Ford

Interesting move here that Tesla will open up SCs in Canada and the US to Ford vehicles, initially with an adapter, but Ford will be switching to the Tesla connector. Not sure that Ford has any EVs that I am interested in right now, but having access to the SC network is a huge benefit for...

Is it time for Tesla to split into two brands?

Is it time for Tesla to split into a luxury brand and a "regular" brand? Just like Lexus/Toyota, Infiniti/Nissan, Ford/Lincoln, Chevy/Cadillac, etc. Tesla is starting to do things that alienate the luxury car buyer, like not giving you a loaner or Uber or anything when you bring in your...
