    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

WOW WOW!!! Number 1 for North America and 20 globally Thank you for supporting Gatineau and by sending a strong message to Tesla that they made a mistake last year by removing us from the roadmap. I hope they will take this message seriously and realize that the Supercharger team will need to...

    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

I read that for Q1 2023, Tesla awarded one bonus winners for Canada (Bromont, Quebec). With a small effort, we can have Gatineau back on the map. PLEASE, if you have not yet placed your votes, it is very important to take a few minutes and vote. Also, talk to your friends and relatives with a...

    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

Unless something changes (will never happen with Tesla ), Lachute, QC is still on Tesla's site with target opening Q4 2023. If this happens, Gatineau would be a good choice. Otherwise, anywhere along the A50 would be more than welcome.

    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

With the number of Teslas in the area, we should try to get to the top 30. Since many owners are not aware of the supercharger voting, we should promote the site and make sure Tesla is aware that Gatineau (A50) urgently need superchargers.

    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

Great News, we are back on the Tesla Supercharger Voting Leaderboard in position #143 with 220 votes. With all the Tesla owners in the region, I am sure we can easily get to the top 50.

    Supercharger - Gatineau, QC

If we ever want a Supercharger in Gatineau, we need to start voting on Tesla’s site. As of today, they only have one QC location for the top 100 sites (Shawinigan in position 28)

    FSD with “AC induction motor”

Thank you for your feedback. This is very encouraging as the current Autopilot behavior would make FSD almost unusable. Since Tesla plan to merge both together, I can only wish Autopilot stopping will also become more natural. As for using regen, I also hope Tesla will make some improvements as...

    FSD with “AC induction motor”

Thank you for confirming my assumption. Now we just need somebody with a pre-Raven cars testing the FSD beta to see if it performs better. It would be extremely BAD if FSD is also applying very aggressive breaking as it will be almost unusable in city driving situations.

    FSD with “AC induction motor”

I did not yet try this build with Autopilot in a stop and go situation. I just noticed the “Regenerative Breaking in Autopilot” feature was not included. The last time I used Autopilot, it would detect a stop sign at 200 yards but will maintain speed and jam the brakes at about 50 yards. I...

    FSD with “AC induction motor”

Yes, good idea to add the model in my signature. I am talking about a 2017 model X 100d. I noticed that the 2022.4.5 release note did not include the “Regenerative Breaking in Autopilot”. I am assuming this is because those cars did not have Permanent Magnet motors. Since we are still not...

    FSD with “AC induction motor”

I just installed build 2022.4.5 and noticed Tesla did not implement the “Regenerative Breaking in Autopilot” for “AC induction motor”. This motor is fully capable of using Regenerative Breaking but is badly slamming the brakes 50 yards from stopping. Does anyone testing FSD with “AC induction...

    2022.4.5

Can somebody explain why Tesla is not implementing the 2022.4 “Regenerative Breaking in Autopilot” for “AC induction motor”. I understand this technology will not go to a complete stop without brakes but I do not understand why they are not using the fully capable “Regenerative Breaking” instead...

    2021 Holiday Update - GARBAGE!

Safety shall always be top priority and “blind spot camera” should be more important than games. "Legacy" cars have all what is needed to implement blind spot. This shall only be a matter of adding a “if blinker on, display side camera”. This is the same story as the one pedal driving not...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Thank you for your finding, GOOD JOB! I tried this yesterday and the car almost immediately went to sleep and 18 hours later, it is still sleeping like a baby. I initially set my charge to 80% and stopped the charging at 70% using the app. I then reduced the charge to 50% to make sure it would...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Unfortunately not, I am on 2021.4.18 and after forgetting to unplug last week, my car had for a good two days of sleep and wakeup sessions. VERY annoying!!!. My service center told me they are aware of the problem and still waiting for a resolution.

Inability to sleep related to WiFi?

Was your car plugged in? Since I got my MCU2 upgrade last year, the only way to get my car to sleep is to unplug it. It will then sleep for days. When plugged, it will have a behavior similar to what you are describing. I had two Tesla Service calls and they told me it is apparently a known...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Need more testing but possibly false hope with 2021.4.6! The car slept for almost 3 days and yesterday, after waking-up, it started the on-off cycle again without any good reason. VERY ANNOYING!!!

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

My problem appears to be resolved after installing build 2021.4.6. I was able to leave my car plugged in and sleeping now for over 30 hours. I am not sure if the problem was resolved in a previous build as I did not run more testing until now.

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Unfortunately nothing changed with this version and this is getting very annoying during our winter season. I just cannot imagine letting my car start and stop every 15 minutes.

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I just ran some testing with my latest 2020.44.15 and it is still waking periodically with plugged in. As soon as I unplug, the car will go to sleep almost immediately and will sleep like a baby for days. With winter now at our door, this behavior is getting very annoying as I have to remember...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I also confirm that 2020.40.3 has the same behavior but my car has a much shorter cycle 10 mins sleep/12 mins idle. The interesting different is my car immediately go to sleep when unplugged and sleep like a baby for days. As I previously mentioned, I cannot believe such a cycle can be good for...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

For me, normal behavior is predictable. In this case, it is obviously not predictable and I wish Tesla would use the term “know issue” as stated by dailo. It is interesting that you have a very different cycle time. Your situation is worse than mine as I have the option of unplugging my car. We...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I just had a service appointment about this issue and they told me this MCU2 behavior is normal. I am sorry but if having the car flip-flopping between sleep and idle 65 times a day is normal, I am ready to bet that most of us will start having electronic problems in a very short period. Just...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

The car will sleep for days when unplugged but as soon as it is plugged in, it will cycle between Park for 12 minutes and Sleep for 10 minutes. This is currently acceptable but very annoying as you have to unplug the car after each charge. This will especially be a problem for pre-charging the...

Very aggressive stopping when detecting stop signs and red lights

Is it just me but I am finding the car is very aggressive with stopping at stop signs and red lights. 2017 model X HW3 and MCU2 upgrade

I also had it done yesterday. Dropped off the X at 10am and I received a message the car was ready for pickup by 2:30pm. Question on Camp Mode

I am testing this mode before our vacation and would like to confirm if the Instrument Panel is also always on. I know the center screen is always showing this annoying camp fire, but I was unable to turn off the Instrument Panel. Both screens are generating a lot of light.

Can you lock model X with keys inside?

Not very convenient to access the screen when you are sleeping in the trunk. This is the reason and for extra protection that I am locking the doors from the app and using the Faraday bag.
  31. BlueBird

Can you lock model X with keys inside?

This will also be the case when you want to sleep in the car. You will have the keys inside the car and will want to have your doors locked. I find that the Faraday bags are very efficient, but will experiment with this dead zone. Possibly using both to ensure full security.

did teslafi support only usa ? or all world ?

I live in Canada and a Teslafi user for the last two years. Since this is a web app running on any browser (ie on any devices), I don’t see why you would not be able to use it. Also, they show a list of software releases with users that are from all around the globe. I use this app all the time...

    2019.36.1: Stopping Mode

They can certainly do it as they already have the technology implemented where the car will completely stop when on autopilot. The question is more if they care enough or if they consider a two year old car already obsolete.

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

Thank you for your reference for the “water tank baffles”. I will add the 4” slotted pipe to minimize the sloshing and weight shifting. This is used twice a year to fill a spa. I am typically going with a full tank and driving in the city at low speed. I still want to minimize the risks of...

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

OK, when Tesla makes reference to “support vertical loads of up to 120 lbs” they are making reference to a rack mounted on the hitch. When using a trailer, the Maximum Tongue Weight of 500 lbs would then apply. That should not be a problem as I will make sure to place the container a little...

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

I need to carry a trailer with a 260-gallon water container. I am calculating the pulling weight to be about 3,500 lbs (trailer, container and water). I am installing the container over the trailer tires slightly forward to maintain the weight on the front. My question is with the vertical load...

Getting five high pitch beeps (like tuts sound) coming from the center screen when on NOAP

I was on the 401 highway with clear sky, the NoA continued to work normally and nothing different with the driving. The five beeps are exactly the same tone. If nobody have any idea, I will try to record it next time. I am on version 2019.24.4.

Getting five high pitch beeps (like tuts sound) coming from the center screen when on NOAP

We just returned from a 1,500 km trip and while on NOAP we had multiple occurrences of this five-beep warning with no visual messages. Sometime, this sequence of 5 beeps would repeat 2 or 3 times in a row. No change in the NOAP driving, no lane changes, no visual clues but just those annoying...

I do not care about Forbes but it is the sentence that is well describing the way I currently feel about Tesla and this is making me very angry that I placed my trust in a company that appears to be deceitful.

    FSD Upgrade

    Biodefense Order Tracker - For Non-PUP Old-Timers

I ordered mine last week not because I was dying for this option but I wanted to show my appreciate to Tesla for the effort of offering those PUP options at a fair price. I hope this will send a clear and positive message to our SC and Tesla's management to offer other PUP options.

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

I understand your frustration but it already happened after Tesla decided to include PUP at 2/3 of the price. From this point of view, we feel the same level of frustration. Also, I doubt very much they will be offering a complete aftermarket PUP and if they do, it will probably be at a higher...

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

I am just not sure on the level of work involved in supporting the heated steering, wipers and back seat heaters. Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

Finally, Tesla is starting to consider those non-PUP owners that could not justify the price they were asking. I am considering purchasing this filter to show my appreciation to Tesla and to let them know that I am ready to pay a fair price for those options. As @bayx mentioned in another...

Open Driver Door with Fob - Non-PUP

I did not know those options could not be separated. Tesla should definitely be considering the fob and auto-opening as two distinct options as they are completely unrelated. Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

Interesting, I was just looking at this topic slipping to page 6 and was wondering if we were the only X customers interested in the subject. I would be ready to try anything to bring this subject to Elon’s attention. I just believe it is blocked by some upper manager that appears to only be...

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

I believe it may be a fairly small number of cars that got affected by the PUP decision. Tesla was previously selling options separately and in mid 2017, decided to bundle all options into PUP with a very high price tag (~8,000 CDN$ or ~4,600 pounds). At the time, even Tesla sales specialists...
