Parking at Los Angelos Union Station

So I tried a filter for EV vehicles in my Best Parking app. And found the parking below. They will charge my car the day I return for an extra charge. Basically they move the car to the charge location and charge it. Cheap Airport Parking Lax : Discount Lax Parking : TheParkingSpace Rates ...

Parking at Los Angelos Union Station

You use Van Nuys what? what parking lot? I see the Flyaway bus goes to Van Nuys, but where does the bus go? And where do you park? I have taken flyaway in the past to Union Station when using Metrolink. So I have seen the bus. But where does it go? And where do you park?

Parking at Los Angelos Union Station

Do you remember what type? Did you use the normal adapter that comes with Tesla? Or did you need any special adapters?

Parking at Los Angelos Union Station

Has anyone used the chargers at Union Station in Los Angelos.... If so, what type, and what was cost? I’m flying out of country in a few months and looking for parking where I can stay plugged in. Thanks,

Tesla charging with CCS adapter... coming soon?

Yes, that is my plan. I have chosen a longer route that will NOT require chains. And I will stop in San Bernardino at the bottom and top off to 100%. I have made this trip already with no issues, take about 35 to 40% to get to the top, and almost nothing to come down. But now we have cold...

    Charging w PlugShare or ChargePoint

good point. I will just wait it out. But I think 18 is closed anyway, so I will go San Bernardino and top off at supercharger, then go around the Victorville way. There are ChargePoints in Victorville, so maybe I’ll get lunch and add some miles. Then to big bear. If I’m stuck overnight, I’ll...

Tesla charging with CCS adapter... coming soon?

I have been looking at alternatives to Tesla’s Superchargers, as there are times I am somewhere there isn’t one. The adapter that came with my M3 works withChargePoint, and some others, but not with some. From what I have read, CCS is the fastest growing port, and used by Blink to mention one...

    Charging w PlugShare or ChargePoint

I signed up with ChargePoint, thanks for the blink suggestion. I’ll check them out today. EVGo won’t work without the $500.00 Chademo adapter which I’m not going to spend. over time I will just keep adding to my options. Thanks

    Charging w PlugShare or ChargePoint

I did a successful charge with ChargePoint, but it was slow. I also tried EVGo but you can only charge with the Chademo which I don’t have. The other EVgo cable is CCS, and won’t work with Tesla, and there is no adapter from what I saw. It’s a disappointment because the EVGo is a very fast...

    Charging w PlugShare or ChargePoint

thanks for the info. At this moment the chain requirement is “R3” which is chains on all vehicles. If weather stays nice, I am hoping for “R2 or R1” on Tuesday, so no chains. I did download both apps, and will test both today. Not many Chargepoints up there, but will go for that first, Thanks.

    Charging w PlugShare or ChargePoint

I will be driving to an office in Big Bear CA next week, it’s about a two hour drive, in below 40 temps, and some of the trio using snow chains. I drive a dual motor long range. A normal trip would leave me with 50%. And coming down uses very little power. But.ll that’s in nice warm weather...

Software Update Available.. connect to WiFi

Solved---- I opened a service call. After a couple days I got a text that my software would download via cellular, and it was. My orange arrow was green and I was downloading while I was driving. Ready by the time I got home, and installed just fine. Hopefully my next update will go without...

Software Update Available.. connect to WiFi

ahhh.. I did not think of keys, and cards. So I will not do that. I have 4 cards setup, two are not with me. So that is an issue. I will wait on service. Much less extreme. Thank you.

Software Update Available.. connect to WiFi

My Model3 shows an update is available but will not download. I have tried both hard and soft reboots. I tested my WiFi using the Tesla browser and have good speed. I have tried my work WiFi, and hotspot from phone. I have a service call scheduled, but would like to fix this myself. Any ideas?

Red Model 3 - 3M Crystalline Tint - Front Windshield OK??

I am looking to tint my Red Model 3. I will be using 3M Crystalline. My thoughts are 40% on side windows, and 70% from front windshield all the way to the back. Does anyone have an opinion or thoughts on tinting the windshield? Tint will be on the inside of the car, so nothing in front of...

Model X with child in drivers seat allegedly injures woman

Noted. Bad spelling. My point was just that many cars could have this issue. Either way, sad that someone was injured.

Model X with child in drivers seat allegedly injures woman

Tesla requires the brake peddle to be pressed before the car will go into drive.

Model X with child in drivers seat allegedly injures woman

Ummmm NO No creep mode on mine thank you. And my point is you have to push the brake in my Tesla or it won't go anywhere.... And do what outside my car with my phone? You mean Summon? Yes, has nothing to do with whether or not a child (2 year old) can get in my Tesla and get it to go anywhere.

Amount Due at Time of Pickup - California

I used Tesla, they don't finance but locate someone for you to finance. But ... I had to come up with $11,000 if you count the $2,500 down payment. I was quite surprised as well, as my last car I only paid $1,000 down and drove away. So seems they don't roll all the costs into financing...

Model X with child in drivers seat allegedly injures woman

Exactly.. I don't own a model S, but have a model 3. A child could not move my car. Maybe two children, one to push the brake peddle, the other to put the car in drive, and then the first child would need to release the brake and push the accelerator. My Model 3 won't move unless on a hill...

Any Suggestion for Center Console Wrap?

I would actually like some sort of rubber wrap, so I can set my phone or whatever on it, and won't slide around. More of a useful wrap than looks or protection. But can also look nice and protect the finish underneath.

Tesla App - Controls / Start - What does this do???

So I would assume one the car is parked, it would require another command for someone to drive it again. This would be useful in an emergency for example traveling and you needed someone to move your car for you.

My dash says how much I’m paying for super charging, but my account history says $0.00

I have 6 months free supercharging. My lootbox doesn't show anything about charging. And I have charged several times with no charges. I am just tracking how long 6 months is. When I charge, I don't see anything that says a price, or free, or anything.

Is it ok to charge Tesla Model 3 only once or twice a week?

My round trip is about 25 to 30 miles. I charge to 75% each night, and use STATS to Smart Prep my battery to 80% 30 minutes before I leave for work. Elon states that keeping the car plugged in is best as the computer will manage the battery for maximum life and best performance. If I am going...

TeslaCam - How big of a flash drive is best

That is the same exact Flash I just ordered. 256 should be perfect, I plan to buy another in a few weeks, so when I'm in the car and one is full I will just swap. I am also doing the procedure to run USB cable from the front back to the 12V. One cable will allow me to plug in my Flash for the...

TeslaCam - How big of a flash drive is best

Of course. I was not paying attention to the KB vs MB. Also, I found EaseUS has a utility that will allow a smaller cluster with the larger size drive. I will test that. I am now leaning to the 256Gig drive. Should take a while before that is full from Sentry mode. That will be a test...

    Best Way to Charge

Agree with 60 amp breaker, if you install with a wall charger, you can charge at 48amps or 43mph. That is what I have. My daily commute is about 25 miles round trip. I charge to 75% every night, and then use STATS to top to 80% just before I go to work. I support several offices, so some day...

TeslaCam - How big of a flash drive is best

This is a question for the tech or math experts. I would like to know if anyone has an opinion on the best sized drive for the dash cam. Looking at footage, the size varies. 1meg to 30meg maybe. Considering the Fat32 format, from what I have found these are the recommended cluster sizes...

Performance vs. Regular Dual Motor "real world" performance

I have driven both. I purchased the AWD Dual motor non Performance. I needed the 18" tires so I can get the snow package. As far as acceleration... I would NOT want more. A couple days ago I almost put myself into someones trunk because I floored it on the on ramp. The car shot forward so...

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

So, looking at TeslaFi this morning, my car slept about 3 1/2 hours last night. The longest so far. Stats now reports phantom drain at 0.8% so it is dropping. Again, this no longer worries me, and I think sleeping will increase over time, and phantom drain decrease. I have now had the car...

Do you believe all Model 3 owners who purchase FSD get HW3?

In my personal case, I knew I was paying a total of $8,000.00 for full function-ability of Auto Pilot / FSD, and autonomous if it becomes available. So to me doesn't matter if the price is 2k/3k or 3k/2k. I understand that many people don't believe that autonomous will ever work so they don't...

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

Saw a Tweet from @StatsTeslaApp this morning. Among other things, it states that the Tesla app and Stats app have no effect on phantom drain. Also in the tweet, that Sentry mode drain rate is 1 mph. Although (and I tweeted this question) is that 1.0 mph? or 0.1 mph? I believe they meant...

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

So I looked at my Teslafi page. Seems my car was only sleeping for a few minutes each day. Last night I got an update (2019.8.3). And this morning I see the car slept over 2 hours. Yesterday I enabled Sleep Mode in TeslaFi. So maybe that changed things, or the car getting updated. But I...

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

I have disabled Sentry, and will keep it off for now. I will wait a couple days to see if the level drops. I also enabled 'Sleep Mode' on Teslafi which is supposed to cause the car to sleep. Looking at Teslafi, it indicates the car is Idling, for 8 hours and 35 minutes. Maybe each time I look...

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

Good idea. I just started using Sentry Mode, but that is easy to stop using. As far as the apps, I am wondering if it's TeslaFI as STATS only pings the car when I open it, but I could be wrong.

New Model 3 - Phantom Drain Rate 0.83 (STATS)

I have a new Model 3. One week old about 800 miles. According to STATS, and I am sure it is correct my Phantom Drain is 0.83MPH. App wise I am using TeslaFI, and STATS. So I am wondering if it is one of them. Or, maybe 0,83MPH is just normal and I don't need to worry about it. But looking...
