Looks like Here in Ontario Canada, all gen 3s need a 60 amp breaker and #6 wire because the current can be cranked up far to easily over the network.

This is dumb. If we need to install 2 dedicated circuits for these gen 3 wall connectors, whats to stop someone from disabling the load sharing feature and overloading the circuit? My opinion still stands that a load shedder or 200 amp upgrade is the smartest route. Buying a 40,000 car and skimping out on the charging infrastructure in your own home is really not smart. Load shedders are made right here in Canada and are solidly built.

Totally true in the case of a few feet. At 50+ feet though its an added and wasteful cost both on the pocket and the environment. Also most people around here have 100 amp services and would fail inspection if they install the unit to their 100 amp service which forces them to upgrade to 200 amps.
