Inspected the car today in better weather. Really really pleased with it. Loving the colour. Looks like I've got condensation in the rear light cluster though.

Collected yesterday from Thorpe Park: 5 min queue, 5 min paperwork, left my BMW in the parking lot got my M3 LR!!

I think everything is in perfect condition. Alignment is perfect, no paint issues. The only thing I noticed is that both rear door handles are not flush compared to the front ones. I would say 4 mm difference.

I am not sure if it is worth to open a request
Mine are the same. Got it booked in for early January to sort as it doesn’t look great.

Mine (collected on Tuesday) has slightly big gaps on the left doors (4.8 mm) and the boot is slightly raised. If you slide your fingers with the fingernails down from the side to the boot they will get stuck.

I’ve also noticed condensation in the rear lights but that has disappeared again. Need to take Pictures next time it happens.

But I love the car! Tried auto steer and it worked fine - no phantom breaking for me so far.

btw If you are still to collect from Thorpe Park - I’ve noticed that most of the cars there now have green number plates.

btw. Merry Christmas. The Tesla has been my best Christmas present

Sad to say that my gap is bigger - 5.08 mm !!

Also have an issue with the tops of both front doors being inset and flaking paint on the NS sill.

Car is booked into the service centre in late Jan.

Just noticed that the registration number on my invoice for my Tesla 3 (picking up next week) is completely different to the registration number sent to me by text by Tesla. I now have no idea and may have insured the wrong car. Not a great start! Tesla closed until 29th, car being collected on the 30th.

Have three minor issues with mine (delivered on Monday) but I can only book a service appointment at a dealer, no home visit available. Is this normal? I have a window trim on the rear door that isn't quite located correctly, a near side B pillar camera that does not work and a charge point flap that has to be released with the app, pushing on it won't release it. Surely these are issues that can be sorted by a mobile ranger?

The door trims just push on. Wind the window down, shut the door, and push down hard on it. That should seat it right.

One of my doors was similar, so I investigated. The hinges don’t have any adjustment to allow the door to come out. When I looked at my near side, I found they’d adjusted the wing in to be more flush with the door. Evidence of paint damage on the bolt showed it had been tweaked. So back on my offside, I fully opened the door, and loosened off the bolt inside the top of the wing. Pushed the wing in a touch, and nipped up.

I had the same problem when I collected on Monday, fortunately I spotted and managed to get insurance to change the plate before I departed.

I nearly didn't spot it all - and only noticed after I paid for the car. I would assume the initial registration (the car I insured) is correct as I had a VIN number with that one. Ho hum! Tricky time of year to get any response.

Just took mine for a good run out( first time since delivery) did about 90 mile mainly A dual carriageway roads.

Trying TACC and autopilot. Very impressed with both to be fair. Autopilot on roads like that make it effortless driving. A few phantom braking but nothing too troublesome.

Did struggle to get a comfy driving position though. I've come from a SUV (KIA sportage) so very different. I've had a major back operation which effects my nerves etc in leg and lower back so I guess I'll have to just keep trying.

Overall a very pleasant driving experience.

I wondered if the two bolts where the hinge join the door allow any lateral movement. If so, that would allow the door to move in/out in relation to the front wing. The posts in this thread appear to show that there is some adjustment possible

Both my front doors are similar to yours but I am going to leave them alone as I don't think it looks bad,

It doesn't look too bad. However, if there is room for adjustment, I would prefer to have the doors aligned.
