No 500 mile range is a huge fail for me. Extremely disappointed.

I have 2x 112 reservations and haven't been invited to config.Guessing a battery extension pack somewhere - likely in the bed best guess.
My biggest question is - do those of us who put down $100 deposits now have to actually order?

Yeah, but for those who may want it - how on earth are we supposed to decide if there's no cost for it listed? Lame, very lame.On the order page, the longest range is 340 miles.

Looks like the Range Extender is after-delivery option.
Something you have to pay for that won’t work anywaysWHAT IS THE EFFING RANGE EXTENDER!?!?!?!??!?!?!?
It'll be released the same time Tesla fixes tesla vision and gets FSD working. In other words, 2 weeksWHAT IS THE EFFING RANGE EXTENDER!?!?!?!??!?!?!?

Getting up close to 500 miles with the range extender on the dual-motor variant - but I bet that range extender costs a really pretty penny - whatever it turns out to be:

As long as it isn't the same range extender that was used in the BMW i3,It'll be released the same time Tesla fixes tesla vision and gets FSD working. In other words, 2 weeks
They might be still debating the logistics: Software enabling or actual different battery packs. It'll be released the same time Tesla fixes tesla vision and gets FSD working. In other words, 2 weeks
don't worry... they'll think about it for a few years and then just cancel that option as "not needed"It’s most likely another battery that fits in the vault. I am legitimately afraid it might be a gas generator but hopefully not.
That happened in the past as the 520-mile Tesla Model S Plaid+ was canceled even before it was born.don't worry... they'll think about it for a few years and then just cancel that option as "not needed"
/stuffs 600 pounds of batteries in the cargo bed and still comes up shortwho actually thinks the car is gonna have 500 mile range?
