Dont read too much into it yet, VINs will come out over the next few weeks, only then will we have the full picture.

Maybe Thursday is LR day? And Friday afternoon is P afternoon? Who knows :)

The table I send is really to try to get a trend. So far there is no indication that colour has anything to do with when builds come out. So far it seems to be entirely build date based for the allocation of VINs. Either that means they are building to order (which we have been told they are not) or indicates that there are more cars that they just haven't allocated yet and we will get some disparity towards the end of the AU builds where order dates for different combinations will shift quite a bit.

These things can change but the longer that Tesla holds to these patterns the more encouraged we can be that they will continue for a while.

Lets hope today will have some midday madness :)
Do you think it's more in relation to there being a lot more RWD orders compared to other models?

All guess work but I'd say its related.

If you watch the videos of the assembly line you can see its both robotic and human done. The different models have different things needing to be fitted (eg dual motor vs single motor) and while robots might be able to switch over from one to the other seamlessly humans need to know what they are doing with a bit of notice.

So you'll probably find that the cars are done in batches based on at very least model.

There are far more RWD orders than LR / P orders so likely for efficiency they will stick with the RWDs for a while before swapping over to the LRs/Ps.
Like I said earlier, its still early days in the "weeks" we have been told that VINs will come out so I'm not reading too much into it yet.

Like VariableKarms said, I'm not responding to any particular post, just adding another viewpoint.
Its been a longtime, but I once worked in a production factory , and had involvement in retooling the machines.
Our current robotics a might be able to switch seamlessly, but i think that they still need retooling for various aspects of manufacture. There a cost consideration, a time factor, and down time whilst that happens, even with robotics. This becomes especially so in paint function where lines need time to vary colours, so the "run" is maximised, especially where runs are for low numbers of items. Perhaps make a small surplus, then delay till next batch is required.
For such a complex procedure with so many variablesas in building Tesla , manufacture to a specific order is highly problematic.

They don't have any rights to update pricing as long as your order was committed as per the agreement. In common English, they can't.
Yes, they can. you may want to re read your agreement pal.

The Purchase Price Upon delivery of the Vehicle, you will pay to Tesla all of the Total Purchase Price, less any deposit paid and any value given to the Trade-In Vehicle. In the case of a new Vehicle, if at any me a@er this Agreement becomes binding on both pares but before delivery of the Vehicle to you, the cost of the Vehicle to Tesla changes because the manufacturer changes its price, or there is a change in statutory charges which apply to the Vehicle, the Total Purchase Price will be adjusted by the corresponding amount. If the manufacturer increases the cost of the new Vehicle to Tesla, Tesla is only entled to pass on to you an increase of up to and including 5% of the Total Factory Price of the Vehicle. Payment by cheque for all or part of the Total Purchase Price will not be considered to have been received Tesla unl the cheque has been honoured.

I've seen a video linked in here where an ex Tesla employee spoke about the painting line, and they do as little as 6 cars a time in certain colours. Certainly don't have to run 100s in a colour then swap to do the next colour. I'll see if I can dig it out
