Huge congrats to all the VIN recipients from the last 48hrs - great to see. Happy Birthday to those who celebrate this weekend, especially @Ormaus

Long-time listener, now kindly seeking feedback/thoughts:

28 Feb order for the stock standard RWD White/Black.
In NSW the standard issue/Tesla included Number Plates are slim White with Black characters.
Do you assess these best compliment the White RWD, OR better to stump up the extra $$ for the Black with White characters?
(This would be a similar look to Victorian 'Slimline Black' style)

Appreciate this is all very much personal preference (and likely no big deal for many), but good to get thoughts on plate matching body colour etc.
My view is a balance somewhere between discretely different and stock standard/same same.
Oops, I just noticed this didn’t work I’ll try again.

It's funny over on the forklift forums they are in constant speculation too, regarding whether their forklift will arrive this quarter or if the sudden increase in drought of the ship indicates just more teslas disappointingly🙄
Do they have endless discussions about panel gaps and paint quality, or is it always 'within spec'?

Anybody have the latest shipping schedule and guessing what boat these latest VINs are on?
With post shipping delays around 2 to 20 days,... gives us one constraint
The post build delays (prep for sea travel) est 2 days + build date will give us another constraint.

So:
  • [Build Date] + 2 days = earliest the car can be on a vessel.
  • [Vessel Arrival (Port Kembla) Date] + 2 to 20 days = delivery window
Example: My Delivery Window is 24 Aug to 2 Sep

In the absence of a Build Date (yet) I will say its 15/07/2022 - so earliest it is ready for a vessel would be 17/07/2022 therefore Viking Passama, Morning Crystal, Morning Clara (round 2) and Paganella are possible but Morning Clara (round 1) isnt.

Viking Passama arrives PK 8/8 + 2 to 20 days = 10 Aug to 28 Aug - possible but not really a match for my delivery window
Morning Crystal arrives PK 13/8 + 2 to 20 days = 15 Aug to 2 Sep - much more likely match for my delivery window
Paglia arrives PK 3/9 + 2 to 20 days = 5 Sep to 23 Sep - outside my delivery window
and so on for the later vessels that arrive at PK later.

So for me just using simple calcs and estimates from others who have watched delivery delays etc, I'd take a guess at Morning Crystal for my vessel with a possibility of Viking Passama.

Of course if you dont want to guess I think you can find out a lot more from @Vedaprime :)

23-Sep is my birthday, I’d be happy with that.

By special request - just the RWDs that have VINs (that I have recorded) - will do the full VIN update later tonight

It does seem like they switched to dual motor for the last dash before shutdown. Looks like us RWD folk are going to be waiting for Q4 deliveries. Hot damn it burns.

Interesting I didnt get a range change notice even though I'm a LR

Also final total is about $2k less than before - tax change? Not complaining :)

Oh 1:03 Cat squeeking (yes strange cat) outside the window to be let in *sigh*
Congrats @Ormaus and thanks for all your hard work. Also, lend me your cat.
