In my case the email from Solar Victoria regarding the ZEV subsidy arrived relatively quickly but wasn't related to pending vehicle delivery.
Original order date - 27-Apr-22
First ZEV email - 10-May-22
The subsidy application has a 6 month time limit and I received a second ZEV email from Solar Victoria on 11-Oct-22 that extended my ZEV application until the 21st February 23.

We’re writing to let you know that we are extending your Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Subsidy application by 120 days to extend your opportunity to receive a subsidy.
The ZEV Subsidy Program requires that motor car traders deliver vehicles to customers within 6 months of the contract of sale. While the majority of customers are receiving their vehicles within this period, global supply chain issues are delaying some car delivery timelines beyond 6 months.

My current EDD range (Jan-Feb) falls across the expiration of the ZEV.
At this point I do have a VIN and a final invoice but have yet to see a specific delivery date so fingers crossed that delivery is in time.
If that happens I will probably cancel the 3 and opt for a Y but that bridge has yet to be crossed.

In your case it looks like your EDD start falls within the 6 month period so hopefully things are a little quicker than they have been.
Thanks for clarifying, hope your EDD gets updated soon.

I HAVE A VIN!

Thanks for sharing this. Are you from Victoria? My company also uses SGFleet (no other option). According to the invoice I had from Tesla, the Payment Due is $69,344.60 while the Balance Payable is $66,344.60. This will not fly, right? Do you suggest I go back to Tesla to include the $3000 rebate in the Balance Payable before SGFleet complains about it? How do we get the $3000 and our order fees back then?

My current quote from SGFleet was based on financing $66,344.60. I thought they couldn't get it wrong since it was based on the invoice I shared with them.

You are right about the terrible service of SGFleet. At one point, I waited a week to get my quote updated because my sales consultant was out sick. I have written to my company's compensation team to see into including expanding employees' choice of a novated service provider. I hope they will.

By the way, did you get SGFleet to quote you with the FBT exemption law? They refused when I asked, saying they are still waiting for ATO's guidelines.
Not sure how it works in in Victoria. I'm from NSW, we don't get a rebate if we go thru novated leasing. Maybe you should check with SGFleet (good luck). The deposit will be returned by Tesla. They did give me a quote with the new FBT exemption and one with the current guidelines. I had to sign the one with the FBT. It just moves the post tax deduction to pre-tax

I am also with SG Fleet - seems I am lucky and got a 'good' contact there as my experience has been really good (though haven't reached the 'pointy' end yet so we shall see). They told me it's very common for the Tesla invoice to be wrong to start with, Mine has been updated 7 times by Tesla, but we're good now :). SG Fleet require the amounts in the payment summary on page 2 to be the same on the left and right (Payment Due & Balance payable). For a Victorian this will show a $3350 refund to customer on the right hand side - the initial order fee and the EV subsidy will be refunded back to us once the sale is finalised as SG Fleet need to pay the full amount.

They are also not being totally honest with you about the FBT exemption - they are providing new quotes to new customers without FBT. They also refused to update mine, said all existing customers would be recalculated in Feb. When I pointed out one of my colleagues has a quote without FBT they said ok and updated mine...
Thanks for this detailed response. I will be on the phone with them to get them to update my quote with the FBT exemption.

Now I have two people as references for demanding an updated quote. Thanks for pointing that out.

Last post 25th of November, the day i received my VIN. My car delivery was moved from Chatswood to Alexandria in December. Original EDD 5/12 - 25/12, latest EDD 8/02 - 1/03. Yet red rwd cars available on the Tesla inventory stock.

Finance and Insurance offers will expire, holidays have been messed about. . Not sure what to do anymore

First thing this morning, will ask for my deposit money to be returned to my account.
With cost blow outs now, having to renegotiating new finance and insurances and a good chance i will miss out the NSW government EV rebate.

Considering my options, may cancel my order. Plenty of new cars coming to market and another 2 month possibly till i receive a delivery date.

Please DO NOT hand any money over till you receive an actual delivery date.

Good luck everyone, not usually a negative person, but this experience has been definitely deflating.

Hi

I ordered M3LR white/black on 10/3/22 Tasmania and still no delivery date. Just rang to ask to cancel and they will not refund my deposit due to the requirements of the contract. When i ordered there was a 6 month wait and now it looks like it will be at least 12 months. The price of my trade-in has dropped significantly in the past 3 months and I am getting annoyed as there are cars meeting my vehicle specs on their website now but cannot be delivered to Tasmania!! It is a matter of principle now - I would never have ordered if there was going to be a 12 month waiting period.
