Canberra showroom has a white and a blue Model Y SR for test drives. Usually they preprogram a route to Black Mountain Peninsula, but I guess nothing is stopping people to take it onto Majura Parkway

Got my wall connector hung up under switchboard with supply cable running inside wall to switchboard. $560 (in Melbourne). That included a Hager RCBO 40A circuit breaker in the switchboard. He even did the setup, which was not really difficult. But he did moan about installing other EV chargers.

For some reason, my apple maps thought i was driving an electric vehicle and was asking me to go to nearest chargefox station? Here i am crying my heart out for a VIN and yet all my phone applications now somehow know that i own a electric car.

The guy is listed on the TESLA website via an "Installer" link from the Wall Connector Shopping page. I thought if he gets recommended there then - what can go wrong. My usual sparky would have charged the same but perhaps taken longer - sexagenarian!

Note I had the most straight forward install location just under the switchboard. The cable could even be run inside the wall, hence no conduits. Which is great. I get an allergic reaction and break out in rash when I see wall mounted conduits. Bahhhh.

S is indeed the 3D7 and what the Q1 2022 Model 3 shipped with.

Interestingly the current batch of Model 3 RWD that's en route to Australia has an "R" motor code. Different spec.

Mine is “S” too. Built 15/7.

Someone on M3 thread said they had an EDD appear for them in Adelaide.... we're thinking that now Tesla have a Delivery Centre here now. Anyway I checked and my MY has Aug 8-22...

I got quoted $880 incl Gst for a 3 phase 32 amp install of the gen3 charger, including a 10m cable run from the wall box

Get it down to $550-700. Definitely possible

Regarding the newer M3 RWD, the VIN code for the motor is "R", whereas the incoming MY RWD is an "S" (3D7) motor,
