Autopilot steering nag

I recently was driving on Interstate 5 in the Central Valley, and there are long sections that are straight for many many miles. Driving with Autopiliot engaged, with both hands on the wheel, I continued to get the nag, probably because I failed to keep a slight pressure right or left on the steering wheel. What do you do on the long straight sections of interstate highways to safely keep the nags to a minimum.

I've constantly place at least 1 of my hands on the steering since 2017 and I seldom get a nag.

Actively creating a torque is very tiring so I let my whole arm hang down passively with its weight from the steering wheel.

I put a hand on top of or slightly below the side spokes on the steering wheel and weight of my arm (with elbow supported by an armrest) does the trick
