HOW, oh how, is this thread still going!?!?!?
I would say that Darwinism would weed the 'nag-cheaters' out... but the potential for innocent collateral damage is too great.
I get that there are idiots out there that want to drive carelessly. Just look to your right and left as you're driving with AP on (safely, ready to take action if needed) and notice all the 'genius' drivers looking into their phones as they drive!
An idiot will say "well, they have a right to use their phone when they want". This statement is, in and of itself, a true statement. We all do have the right to use our phones when/where we want.
But certain laws (and common sense) would dictate that it would be unwise to use your phone when operating heavy equipment - especially when operating near other vehicles carrying precious cargo (i.e., Sisters, Mothers, Wives, Husbands, Brothers, Fathers, Babies - do I need to go on?).
Does this stop people? Sadly, no. On my commute, a minimum of 30% (unscientific research, of course) of the drivers I see are distracted in one way or another (high percentile would be on their phones).
I would HOPE that if there ever were a thread/forum teaching people how to text and drive and not get caught (the equivalent of this thread), someone, somewhere, would shut it down!
Are there any mods here that can intervene? When will this idiocy end? I have lost loved ones to idiots that were 'distracted drivers'... this is NO JOKE. This is the last time I will look at this moronic thread.
