For the record, I keep hearing of high delivery rates, but I don’t see them flying out of the local Delivery location. When I was there today, I saw nobody leave with a new car in the 30 min I was there on site.

I think when a location does receive a truckload (or more), they empty out of the lot as fast as the owners can get through the paperwork/orientation. tony b, you will have to come back and let us know what your location was like on a Saturday ;)

When I put the center caps and lug covers on they were all "noooooo wayyyyy..... yeah, seriously, that bad.
LMFAO!!

So has anyone had Spencer Ward as a Delivery Specialist?

Have a VIN 100XXX

Had 8/24 delivery in Mass but live in NY
Got car transferred to Mt.Kisco
Got 8/30 delivery there
Got a call from a very nice confused woman who said car was expected 10/3 but said she wanted to schedule me for 9/27!
I said absolutely, but my online date never changed from 9/30?
Emailed Spencer....crickets
Called delivery location, they said they would let Spencer know....crickets
Called Tesla, they said they saw all the notes on my account, and would let Spencer know....crickets
Now I know they are very busy, and I’m not actually upset, but I don’t understand the millennial ghosting rudeness policies that Tesla obviously promotes! One quick 2 sentence email would easily Placate me until he was actually on to my MVPA!
Does he actually still work for the company anymore?

Can you review the AWD drive compared to your 340xi?

Short version is that the handling on the Model 3 is better than the BMW but it is noticeably firmer, especially going over the concrete aprons that make up our suburban roadways here.

Speed wise there is no comparison. According to Motor Trend the speeds of the cars are almost identical but in reality the Tesla is noticeably quicker. For one thing with the BMW you have to put it into Sport+ and disable traction control to get those numbers. Might have to use launch control too.

With the Model 3 you just point and shoot. Response is for all intents and purposes instantaneous.

I can totally relate.

Interestingly, my first delivery specialist was awesome. Replied to all my emails promptly and answered or returned all of my phone calls.

The guy I have now has not replied to a single email and is unreachable by phone. I ended up just going to the delivery center in Seattle in person to reschedule my delivery appointment after he put me on for a time that simply wouldn’t work.

I got my VIN today and should have financing wrapped up tomorrow for delivery next Tuesday. But I also would have appreciated just a 2-line email reassuring me that I would have a VIN in time to get everything done.

How long after your reschedule notification did you get your new date?

I called the delivery scheduling line the same afternoon I got the delay call on a whim to see who would answer the line and asked if they could give me a date because I didn't like the ambiguity of "we'll call you sometime in the next couple of weeks to reschedule." They gave me a date of 10/2. I called back the next day after seeing people in my area getting 9/28 and 9/29 dates and got 9/28 after talking to a very helpful DA. My MVPA then showed up that same evening. It doesn't mean I won't get delayed again, but I'm hopeful it's a good sign that the MVPA came through.

The funny thing is once you have a person assigned to you, nobody else will help you!

Me: Hi, I’m having problems getting in touch with my advisor on a very time sensitive issue.
Them: Ok, let me try to reach him on the special multi coat red bat phone, ......hmmmm, he doesn’t seem to be answering. I will email, and message him that he should contact you right away about your concerns.

Exactly.

Thankfully, I sorted out all the other details prior to my initial delivery appointment last month. Only needed to do financing over again as initial loan acceptance period had expired.

Hopefully, I will not need that guy again.

Was just told by Tesla that if I have no VIN, the delivery date is meaningless.

So I guess I really won’t be driving one on Saturday. Really sucks.

I’ve seen people in here saying they want to cancel their orders after this experience, and I didn’t understand why they would say that. I do now.

This feels like working with the most unreliable, uncommunicative partner in a group project.

I was in Tesla’s corner pretty much without question until today.

It’s like, they don’t have to try very hard to make this entire process *so much easier* on buyers.

I’m one of the lucky ones who’s paying cash and I don’t need a car until I take delivery.

But some people are selling cars in anticipation of their delivery date only to have it rescheduled at the eleventh hour. That is reckless on Tesla’s part at best, and makes me seriously question their strategic decision making ability.

Sorry to hear that.
Rating on communication Tesla sales & delivery representatives won't get more than 1 on an average on scale of 1 to 10.

Are Delivery Advisors local to a delivery center? I don't know if it's a giant coincidence, but I got the same delivery person as I did for my model S two years ago. I don't know if she's migrated to another role or how this happened... I knew the name sounded familiar.

I called Tesla today to see if I could schedule a delivery in October. They said yes so now I’m scheduled for October 2nd! Just ordered September 10th, AWD non-p, red, EAP, 19" wheels, no reservation/prior owner. Yesterday, they told me that they aren't scheduling October deliveries so I was expecting to have to wait a while since I wasn't able to accept their 9/29 date. I'm excited!

I'm so disappointed to see that Tesla is not honoring the reservation order. My sister has been waiting for this configuration minus EAP for over two years now.

Nice move. What number is the delivery scheduling line? I have so many now :)

There was probably 20+ model 3’s on the lot, most clean and appearing ready for a customer, but nobody getting in them. A few were covered in dirt still probably from being stuck at the rail yard for a month. I would expect to see people running around getting things ready, not sitting at a desk looking at the internet... I would crosstrain employees so they can help in other areas if labor is an issue. A few people looked busy, like the guy who I got his cell and called, but others not so much.
