Was at Gundagai the other day, the Chargefox site looks very sad. A couple of buckets covering the cable ducts where the HPCs were, water running out. One of the posts on Plugshare mentions problems with groundwater. Lets hope they fix it soon, it is not a good look.

Regarding the NeverEnding Story of Cooma, apparently they are still saying the power utility is the hold up.

Whenever that power company line gets used, it’s hilarious. The site at Cooma is literally in the car park of the power company’s promo centre.

Anyone know why the Chargefox app shows this against the 350kw Ultra rapid chargers?

Does this work on QESH 50kw chargers?
I have been stranded in Carmila before because there was no phone signal...

I've only used NSW sites, but the RFID card works for chargers with a Chargfox Logo regardless of the owner.

    Hey chargefox

Have you considered providing RFID via the passes section in Google pay? If Woolies can do it surely it can't be that hard?
I find RFID easier than app but don't like to have to use and store a physical card. I know #firstworldproblems

And whilst they’re at it the same functionality in the Apple Wallet on iOS devices. If ChargePoint can do it surely ChargeFox can.

the issue is usually a miscalculation of how to get enough power to the site. I.e. Evie guarantees 2 chargers with 350kw, so that means the site needs 700kw. Thats usually not possible without extra power lines so they have to be installed first.
We all know that no car will be able to draw 350kw yet so they could open the site with reduced power but unfortunately they dont think like that. Power supply can take 6-12 months to install.

The chargers are actually on the Snowy Hydro head office land.

Ironic since it’s at the HQ for the Snowy Hydro power company!

youd think that but these people sit in their planning offices seeing the plan for a 2 stall small EV charging stations. But they have no concept how much power is actually needed. They assume that its enough to recharge car 12V battery.
Yes, the engineers know but they arent the ones involved in sites and approval of charging locations.

This was what caused the 6 month delay with the Townsville Evie charger. They built this new Truckstop centre on the outskirts of town. "well equipped with all the power you need". They then realized that the whole truckstop power use (plus small industrial area around it) is completely insiginifcant to the close to 750kw overhead the evie station needed so they had the go back to the main supply lines and run seperate power lines. This of course needs seperate approval again etc.

Cooma this arvo, RH 350kW showing 'out of order'. Other two seem OK although Plugshare user reports that the app won't activate them yet.
